Embroidery Library has Embird 2010 as a free download, has anyone tried this? I just want to monkey around with something free before jumping into a large expense...

Also is there a way of searching information here so I'm not asking redundant questions? A search button?

Hi

Someone else asked about Embird a while ago, and there was quite a bit of input on Embird.

Go to this link to read the discussion. I love my Embird and will recommend it to anyone!

Love this program I have had for years , I don't digitize but use it to convert designs, change colors and resize designs with it , the alphabet as wonderful when they sew out , I don't bother with my very expensive Bernina program , Cathy

Many here use Embird, i have used it for 6 years. I love it and use it far more than my very expensive Husqvarna software, which i have had and upgraded time and again since 1998.
When you go to the Embird website you'll find the details of the program and lots of tutorials, see link for Embird Basic. Have a look at that and if there are specific questions you can always ask them - there are many veteran users here who'd be willing to help.

The Q&A section has lots of advice on searching.
Embird is a free 30 day trial, you can try everything out, but not save the results. After that, you need to buy the individual plug-ins that you want. It is excellent value.
