I have the same problem, but I'm not so lucky as to have my computer in the same room as my embroidery machine. I don't think I will have any joy in trying to get my DH to solve this problem as he already complains that I'm addicted. So I will have to carry on 'time-sharing'!!! HAHA. *4U

oh yes I know the problem but after many many tries I came to a compromise : my sewing day ends at around 8pm and then its time for Cute. whenever I go online in the morning or afternoon I don't manage to get off and don't do a single stitch. *4u sweetie

It would be easy if we didn't stop to read everything. However, what would be the fun in that!!!

Oh so very familiar gerry...and my computer and embroidery machine are side by side but I get so wrapped up in reading I forget to pay attention when it stops for a thread change, need a little alarm that sounds...

Gerry, the easiest way that I can do it - for me - is put something on to stitch - that way - when my project is stitching - I can go through the projects - then make a color change - look at another project - make a color change - and so on and so on - Hehehe! *4U

Sorry gerryvb but you have 4313 flowers you are in the top lot now and there is no return..You have to admit though it is fun.Today i started a new process instead of sitting here all day i set a task and allowed so many mins to do it then i would return to computa for so long and i worked in with the clock and for the first time for a long time i got some jobs done.. there is no cure for your addiction it would be easier to give up smoking.

I don't smoke, so that's not the problem for me, but thanks for understanding!

Join the club sweetie, and I just hope that the *other things* you need to do doesn't include that *dirty* word - housework (pun intended). Hugs and flowers to all my addicted friends, love you all!

I am glad I am not alone on this one, I don't feel so bad now, or then again!!!! I have missplaced my 5 x 7 hoop at the mo and can only do 4 x 4 Boo Hoo!!
Doing another TP as I write this... at least that's something.

I have the exact same problem, and this is a serious addiction! If I want to embroider, I have got to learn not to turn the computer on.

Very familiar. Even when I start up my embroidery machine first, I tend to wait changing colours when I see something interesting here (which I am afraid is nearly always the case), so production time is low. The more flowers we've got, the more time we apparently spent here!

The age old question when your computer is not set up beside your machine. Yes I have the same problem even though I have a router network set up between our computers, it's all in the same room and not near my sewing machines so I have asked DH to run a network cable under the house out to the sunroom where my crafts are, then I can just plug my laptop into the network socket and be able to talk and sew at the same time. Yippee!!! Problem solved. hugs n roses, M
