I am so glad that the pain, though not gone, is completely tolerable.
Hope you can resolve the pain issue. I have been there done that. I know how much it hurts. Hugs
Glad you were able to get some descent sleep.. those plaid bandaids cost a lot. take it easy till you see your Dr.. hugs and lots of flowers for you.. Marian
oh dear, hope you feel much better now. but the waiting time was very long indeed....ppfff. hugs and prayers for you.
Awful having to wait that long in ER! I hope you are feeling better now thanks to the meds. Have you been able to get an appointment for the next steps on the road to total recovery within a few days or is there a waiting list too? Hugs, Martine
Wow! Not fun going the ER, and of course they could not help until you actually saw the Doc... so glad you are home and more comfortable. The only thing I know that works is the pelvic tilt. As soon as I feel a twinge, I start my exercises including 2 belly dancing moves, nut they work what can I say! I have had restless leg and it is the worst, you want to jump out of your body! and can't put the foot to the floor, it truly is misery. Let me know if you want more info on the dance moves. Hugs Christine
When you get the bill check the price of that band-aid. I'm glad you are feeling better.
Praying you feel better soon, good luck with recovery, emergency rooms are usually a long visit, sorry you're going though all that. Sending prayers and well wishes.
Praying for sweet friend that this will soon be over for you. Those who have suffered with back ailments feel your pain. At least you can still laugh. Check the cat litter for the bandaid. ;)
dear basketkase, all the best for a speedy recovery, even though you are in great pain and we can relate (lower back pain myself & keith with M.S), your letter today put a smile and chuckle on my husband and my face. regards Lorraine mcneill of woodcroft in south australia
Glad you got some relief! But what a "pain" to have to wait so long! Hopefully they can do something soon to help it permanently! I know what kind of pain nerve pain is! Feel like an electric cattle prod is being poked into your leg? Praying for help & pain relief!
Yes, Gerry, that is such a good analogy!! I cringe and jump everytime it happens....about as often as labor pains..I will say that it is feeling a tad better tonight...I think that is the prednisone burst kicking in...
I think its wonderful Vicki that you can keep your sense of humour with all the pain your in! Good on Jim for making you laugh! Glad that you can get something done for the pain! Keeping you in my prayers & hey you can have some of my sleep if you want it................today I have slept 6 hrs & been up for only 3.25 lol , humour helps get us through it. ~hugs~
My goodness Vicki - 5 hours waiting to see Doctor! You must have a very busy ER at your hospital. I'm so glad that your pain has reduced somewhat, nothing worse than pain. Mum had Sciatica end of last year and into this year and it eventually went away, but the pain was unbearable she said. I hope you can alleviate your pain thresh-hold to a bearable place. Rest easy my friend and prayers for continued healing being sent across the miles. Look after yourself and prayers for Jim too as he waits on you! Love and blessings Chris
Thank goodness you finally got some real sleep! You're closer to a solution! Hang in there!
Oh, come on. Please show us the pretty bandaid. Seriously, I am so glad you went to the ER. Now to survive until you see your doctor and get that MRI. One step closer to getting this resolved. And sleep is good. So good. Now you will need to digitize a design when you are feeling healthy again with that bandaid. Be sure to take your meds and rest. My prayers continue.
My best to you and I shall keep you in my prayers. Not funy having such pain. Suzanne
So glad for you been praying ,now please take a rest or a vacation??hugs Carolynxx
I hope that your problems will be sorted out and that you will soon feel well again. Jim is very naughty!!!!
Step one accomplished. Now lets pray that the MRI will show what is wrong and most of all find a solution to make you pain free. Jim sounds like a lot of fun. I like his sense of humor.
Sorry your trip was so horrific, hopefully now things will get better. Prayers will continue. BTW...I love Jim's idea of picture on the net!!!! :-D It would truly be UNIQUE...not another 'goofy' one like the celebs do. It would a 'fully clothed' boo-boo! :-P PLAID at that. Hope you wake up feeling much better. :-)
Oh Vicki, what an adventure (a painful one)! Happy that you are getting at least some release of the pain - take it easy and let us know how you are feeling!! I know for a fact that a cute band aid makes such a difference!!! Plaid - sounds very cute!! Feel better, Hugs, Laura*
My prayers continue for you. I hope you will be able to sleep/rest with that Prednisone in your system.
Hugs
