Awww...how sweet Sarah. Been there, done that. I used to have to do it for our miniature Schnauzer-Max. He started having spinal disk problems-he used to love to run full speed up and down our stairs and jump up on our laps all the time. Sadly, we ended up having to put him down last summer because the pain-even with medication-got to be to much, to often-he would chew his back end raw trying to make the discomfort go away. It was probably the most painful decision we ever had to make-he was our best little buddy for almost 15 yrs. We did have him cremated though-my husband insisted-he misses him so much.
Oh Linda - I just dread the day. Mushu never leaves my side. He is eating well and we take him for a short walk every day but the time will come.......
Is it for going up or down ? He's almost there. Just one step more . Lucky his weight is ok to lift him up. My youngest dog does not want to go down the stairs at all. We also need to lift her and carry her down. Don't know how I can teach her to do so.
he is a beautie! Bruiizer will wait for me to pick him up to put on my bed @ night LOL But when hubby is home he will jump up on his own LoL must be a guy thing ! ~hugs~
Mushu also waits for me to pick him up and put him on our bed. When DH comes to bed he immediately jumps down and gets into his basket.
Awe, Sarah, I love Mushu!!! I am sure he got his "ride" on the stairs!
Smart Mushu for knowing his limitations and using his charms.
He has the look of 'nobody can resist my cuteness'... Too cute!! Lots of flowers for Mushu********
Mushu is beautiful. How can anyone resist that loving look of please help me.
well I hope he does not have to wait too long.... Mine is almost 14 and is not allowed to go the stairs , I will pick her up too.
Aren't these pets so adorable... Thanks for sharing :)
Mushu likes to spend a lot of time on the stairs. I have always been terrified that he will fall through the open stair. These days he likes some help!!
You could fix a carpet runner down those stairs if you want to, Sarah. They'd effectively put a 'back' on the steps so they aren't open and also give him a bit of grip. He's a cutie!
