I hope somebody can help me with this - I have a Janome 350e and have bought a design from an independent designer. I have put it on a memory stick and can see it in the right place in the files - but it doesn't show when I put the memory stick in the machine. Has anybody experienced this? Any suggestions? Many Thanks, Barbara

The design may have too many stitches. Use your software to delete one aspect of the design, or break the icon into parts.

Barbara, did any of the suggestions help, or are you still having problems? Please let us know, thanks, Marji

I have the same machine, and never have had this problem.
Check you memory stick to make sure you only have the jef format . The machine will not read anything else and will not open a zipped file.
I use a program called Customizer 10000 ( older program) but writes the file to the USB stick. Embird will also write the file to your USB .
Has this happened befor?

Is there a special sign in the name of the design? Mine don't like * or / or our german ä/ü/ö. Like my embird it will not work with it.
Maybe the stitch count is too high. Heard that there is a limit of around 35.000 stitches per design. Hope I could help you and welcome to CUTE :o)
Greetings, Bettina

Three ticky details. Be sure design is in the subdirectory of the subdirectory on your formatted stick (JEF machines). Drag design through some software to be sure it is centered - Janome is picky about that. And, last, the 5x7 Janome design stitch area is apparently slightly larger on Janome commercial machines than on our 350E's, so some designs will work on the commercial machine but not the home version 350E's. The solution there is to drag it through your digitizing or resizing software and shrink it barely. Works with most designs except maybe a free standing lace - they are particular about being altered at all.

I have brothers, however when the design is too large, even by a mm, this will happen. and Welcome to Cute!

I have the Janome 11000. This has happened to me also. Google Janome, choose Janome Canada, then learning centre, then transferring designs. The information there may help you.

I have a 350E, this machine only sees .jef files. Did you format your USB? For more info go to Janome.com and click on Ask Jan. That's where I found information even tho I had a good instructor. I printed out the article.

Hi and welcome to Cute. Are there a lot of other designs on the memory stick as machines can be fussy on this one. My second comment is the design a bit too large for your machine which is why it doesn't show up. Have you unzipped the design. All my answers are for what can happen, I am sorry but I don't have a Janome machine. But I can assure you that at some point someone with your machine will be along who can be much more specific. Let us know when you get sorted
