Hello Cuties, would you take a moment and look at your sewing machines for me? I am thinking to purchase a Swing-Away Straight Binder that will automatically attach bias binding to material as you sew but it needs a sewing machine that has two screw holes next to the needle where the attachment will be. You can see the attachment at the link below, neat hugh!! If your machine has these holes would you tell me the make and modle..... THANK YOU!!!

IF the link does not work try searching youtube, "Binder Attachments for Sewing Machine" Or try this link

I have been looking for the bias binder for ages. I just made a phone call and found one that will fit the low shank machines. It looks like it is generic for the low shank snap-on feet, but is this what you are looking for? I have the 1/4" (6mm) attachment and LOVE it. These used to be included with the old sewing machines, but since people didn't use them that often, they gradually stopped including them. I have a whole set of the round post screw-on feet that I cannot use with any of my current machines. I hope this works for you.

I have been looking at those for the past month or so, and wondering if it would work on my machine!!! If you do buy one, please post about how you like it! I followed their threads and also LOVE their walking foot industrial machine. I'm considering making that my next sewing purchase. :) I'm glad you brought this up. I hope you get it, and hope even more that you get it and love it!!!

I was actually looking at those last night. They look nifty, but the reviews are very mixed. These are also just hemmers instead of bias binders. I have a small bias binder, and have been searching, unsuccessfully, for ages, for a larger one.

Many Thanks for the links dear but I need a foot for 1" binding and most of the items sold are for a maximum of 3/4" binding.

Great gadget but from the video and the information on their site it is meant for heavy duty straight stitch and zigzag machines that are used for sailmaking, awnings and so on. Their machines come with size 20 (!) needles.
A bias binder feet for your own brand machine would work just as well as their stationary ones and would probably be cheaper.

I continue to search for a 1" binder and Brother home machines don't have any that wide.

Hi Dolly, I read this post with great interest as I love sewing feet. I was showing my husband pictures on Google and found a great foot for my machine. I've got a Husqvarna and am going to get one of these feet as I do a lot of quilts. I hope you can find the one you are after.

I'm with Meg on this, I'd look for something that would go on your machine. Good luck, love Chris

I have 2 Husqvarna bias binder feet, one for a finished 6 mm and the other 12 mm. I use them for bibs and hooded towels. Rounded corners work best, square ones are difficult. Quilts may be too thick to guid through the thingy, depends on the batting.

WOW, very expensive to only fit one size binding.
Would you not be better off with an adjustable bias binding FOOT.
The ones below are a great improvement over the older types (photo 3) and you wouldn't need another machine, just for its holes.

I purchase my sewing supplies from: dafent (user name) - store name is: Gone Sewing Company he has them for most machines for only $16.99 USD
Just thinking aloud...... Meg

Many thanks Meganne, could you add the link or names of the feet for me to read about? I would be using bias binding on a double thickness of towels for potholders so I will need 1 inch binding.

They were only pictures Dolly, but the links below are to Dafent (David) on Ebay, and his store, just click on the store link and look for presser feet then type in the search box for bias binding foot.
