I've had 3 Singer Futuras and hate to say so but when the timing goes off on them it is an expensive repair, and I found out it's not a one time thing. it happened to me over and over so I cut my losses and got a Brother machine. I bought instructions for 20.00 on how to fix it myself and it worked but when you start doing it weekly it isn't fun anymore. Hopefully your situation doesn't turn out like mine did but in my case it was a timing nightmare.
There is a Facebook group specifically for Singer machines. They are great folks and should be able to help. If you can't find it, send me a pm and I'll go look it up for you. BTW, I had a Singer Futura CE 100 with the upgrade and I sorely miss it! Loved that machine!

Have you contacted Singer Support? With a machine this new, you might still be covered under warranty.
You might also join one of the Singer Yahoo groups & ask for help there.
There is also a manual for sale on servicing Singer machines that covered home maintenance that is available here:

Singer couldn't make a machine that worked on the Futura CE series. Why did they think they could do it on the Quintet? Mine is sitting in a closet where it will never see the light of day.
If it is timing, only a service rep can repair it. Before taking it in, clean out the bobbin area entirely and then replace the needle. Try it again and if it still isn't working right, you'll have to take it in.
I have various machines, and when the timing on any of them went out, I had to take the machine to the service centre. Timing on my machines (sewing, serger, embroidery) can not be set by the user, only by the service centre.
ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!!!
Just be sure you take it to a GOOD AND REPUTABLE service person----I took a machine to 3 persons BEFORE I FINALLY got the problem fixed-----TIMING is for a tech person to fix----I do not think there is any way for a non-tech person to fix timing. Good luck and God bless y'all!!!!!!
Not true, That is what they want you to think, I fixed mine myself but the place I got the instructions from is out of business, It's an easy fix and it's a shame what they charge you to do it,takes about 5 minutes. I will try to locate where I bought the instructions. They usually tell you send it to Singer in Tennessee or take it to authorized Singer dealer, hard to find,no one wants to work on them I've found.
I know nothing about timing, some one else may. Be sure to check for small snips of thread or lint
