For the scissorholics:

The little darlings arrived in the post this morning from a good friend. They have slightly curved points and are adjustable so the length of cut can be controlled. I am told that they were intended for cutting buttonholes (when sewing by hand), but I think they could be useful for clipping the seam allowance around curves before turning.
Does anyone own up to having similar scissors?

I have had a pair of these for years I simply love them... They cut button holes so accurate... You will enjoy them once you start using them. Suzanne

I have a pair of these. I got them when cleaning out my grandmother's house. I remember her teaching me how to use them when I was a child. I am glad to have them now. Joyce

I had a pair similar to these, but they seem to have vanished. I was looking for them not so long ago. I am sure they have found a great home. Shirley

Sue, scissorholic seems so harsh. Maybe "member of the scissors chat group"? "cutting challenged?"

My mother had a pair of those. Came in handy for blouses. The edge of your fabric should touch the inner end of the blades, so all buttonholes are at the same distance of the edge and the screw adjust the length of the cut.
Nice to have one of those!

I've never seen anything like this; wonder where and who makes them. Have you made a buttonhole to try them on yet? Look intriguing. :)
