Would you please add my husband to the prayer warrior's list? He has stage IV lung cancer and was admitted to the hospital on the 19th with pneumonia for the 4th time. We spent my birthday and Easter in hospital. He was moved to the intensive care unit on the 22nd. He is not responding to any of the treatment and now the doctors are thinking that his pneumonia was caused by the chemo he received on the 8th. They called it taxotere toxicity and it is supposedly so rare that they have no idea how long it will take for his body to clear the taxotere out so that his lungs can start to heal. Taxotere attacks fast reproducing cells which in an ideal situation would stop cancer from growing but in my husband's case it is preventing his body from recovering from this pneumonia. He had to be put on a respirator today as he has been gradually getting worse and his breathing was so labored and his oxygen level was so low with two oxygenators on him both set to 100% that the doctors were afraid he was going to go into cardiac arrest. Please, if you could add him to your prayers we would greatly appreciate it. He is only 67 and can use all the help he can get right now to get through this. Thank you so much for your prayers. Hugs, Barba

I have been where you are. God does hear and answer all our prayers. "Father touch Barba and her husband as only You can. Heal him from the bottom of his toes to the top of his head. In Jesus precious name, AMEN"

Barba,I am so sorry you both are having to go through this. You have done the right thing,to ask for prayer.I am glad to know that you are seeking Him, in your time of trouble, knowing that He will see you through. We will all pray and I am praying Chris's prayer, since this is just what you need right now.Don't feel bad for crying, that's natural to cry,it is very upsetting to see those we love so dearly, be so sick.Remember Cuties will be thinking, and praying, for you, your spouse and your family.Sincerely-Toogie

Thank you so much for your prayers. Today they have had to keep him sedated as he tries to pull on the respirator tube and the feeding tube. His chest x-ray today was a little worse. His vital signs were at least stable today. His heart rate is finally down from 120 to 58 and he has stopped sweating. Today was my oldest granddaughter's 8th birthday and it was so hard not having my DH home. I tried to put on a happy face for her but burst into tears in spite of all my planning to be strong. I have always considered myself a strong person until now and now I feel so weak and hollow. Hopefully he will be better tomorrow. I need to keep the faith! Thank you again for your caring and your prayers. Hugs, Barba

Still praying Barba. You can't always be strong and this is probably one of the most stressful situations that you will ever face. I wish I could help you in person.

Dear Barba,

"Fret not about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.
Phillippians 4:6"

Heavenly Father, I know that you are the Great healer and that every prayer and request that we ask in your name is heard. Please send your angels to watch and guard over Barba and her husband as they go through this worrying time. Seek with a heart that trusts in God and pray without fear and do not be anxious. In Jesus name we pray.

Love Chris

by graceandham 26 Apr 2014

Yes, of course, we'll pray. Father God, watch over your blessed child and his wife as they go through this scary time. Bring healing if it is your will, acceptance in all cases. Give this wife rest and peace so she can be her best when he needs her care. Thank you, Father for the way you love us.
