Would you please add my husband to the prayer warrior's list? He has stage IV lung cancer and was admitted to the hospital on the 19th with pneumonia for the 4th time. We spent my birthday and Easter in hospital. He was moved to the intensive care unit on the 22nd. He is not responding to any of the treatment and now the doctors are thinking that his pneumonia was caused by the chemo he received on the 8th. They called it taxotere toxicity and it is supposedly so rare that they have no idea how long it will take for his body to clear the taxotere out so that his lungs can start to heal. Taxotere attacks fast reproducing cells which in an ideal situation would stop cancer from growing but in my husband's case it is preventing his body from recovering from this pneumonia. He had to be put on a respirator today as he has been gradually getting worse and his breathing was so labored and his oxygen level was so low with two oxygenators on him both set to 100% that the doctors were afraid he was going to go into cardiac arrest. Please, if you could add him to your prayers we would greatly appreciate it. He is only 67 and can use all the help he can get right now to get through this. Thank you so much for your prayers. Thank you so much for your prayers. Today they have had to keep him sedated as he tries to pull on the respirator tube and the feeding tube. His chest x-ray today was a little worse. His vital signs were at least stable today. His heart rate is finally down from 120 to 58 and he has stopped sweating. Today was my oldest granddaughter's 8th birthday and it was so hard not having my DH home. I tried to put on a happy face for her but burst into tears in spite of all my planning to be strong. I have always considered myself a strong person until now and now I feel so weak and hollow. Hopefully he will be better tomorrow. I need to keep the faith!
