Had a brain wave that works and thought I would share.

I have a paint brush holder and I stood a reel of thread on a pencil that I stood in the brush holder and stood at the back of my machine and then threaded my machine missing out the first hook that is by the pin on the machine I was sewing with metalic and thought it would relax the thread, worked like a dream now I thread all my reels this way it's much cheaper than other stands that I have seen where the principle is the same.
Here is the link I hope it works

I have also found that the farther away my thread is sometimes makes it work better. I thought it was just because my machine was being temperamental that day and needing extra TLC. The threads seem to tangle less.

Yep! I find that distance from the machine can make it work better.
