I have Windows 8.1 and don't know about Windoes7. But in older versions like XP and Vista you could set the speed of a double click to be recognised as a double or two singles, somewhere in Settibgs. I am on my iPad now, so I can't check exactly where.
I think it is my finger creating the problem. lol! I am so mad at myself today!
Can you give me more information? Your mouse properties can be changed in the Control Panel.
What do you mean overwritten files? How are you doing that?
I will help if I can.
At times I am a screen ahead of the computer. I used to gt to the folder I wanted and click to select and click to save. Well now it is changed and all the files are listed, so where I used to click to save is now click to replace.
I have Windows 7 on my new computer. Did not like explorer as I was used to Google chrome. Have downloaded Google and all is well. Sorry cannot help you with the double/ single click. We need Rescuer for this!!! Hugs Sarah
Thank you Sarah, I believe all my problems are with Explorer, and I have just recently figured out how to change the default directory, so I may change to Chrome for downloading, and maybe I can change my default browser so word will use chrome instead of Explorer.
