I seem to have a problem with Windows Explorer with windows 7 operating system , I have to relearn it I think. What used to be a double click is now a single click and I have over written a few files. I have always been faster then the computer - clicking ahead. Any suggestions for this muscle memory computer operator?

I have Windows 8.1 and don't know about Windoes7. But in older versions like XP and Vista you could set the speed of a double click to be recognised as a double or two singles, somewhere in Settibgs. I am on my iPad now, so I can't check exactly where.

Can you give me more information? Your mouse properties can be changed in the Control Panel.
What do you mean overwritten files? How are you doing that?
I will help if I can.

At times I am a screen ahead of the computer. I used to gt to the folder I wanted and click to select and click to save. Well now it is changed and all the files are listed, so where I used to click to save is now click to replace.

Thank you Sarah, I believe all my problems are with Explorer, and I have just recently figured out how to change the default directory, so I may change to Chrome for downloading, and maybe I can change my default browser so word will use chrome instead of Explorer.
