I am devastated. The sweetest man I buy plants from locally is intellectually challenged, yet runs a plant department at the local building supply. He is always helpful, pleasant, has good answers about plant care, and counts change very slowly twice, to be sure it is correct. Today, after not seeing him since fall, I discovered he is wasted away by cancer all over his body (probably weighs half of what he did in September), yet he was at work and was his usual sweet self, just slow motion. Does not look like he'll be with us much longer .Please say a little prayer for the Plant Man, God knows who you mean.

Thanks everyone for caring about this sweet Innocent. He sure had someone who patiently taught him all about plants and propagation and care. The $10 hanging basket of begonias I got two days ago has been "stuck" to make three more baskets and my driveway looks real cheery. I'll miss his way with plants and his sweet nature.

Sad. You have to admire people like him in every way. He's in my prayers.

I admire him and the mama, grandma or dad who trained him so carefully to be good with plants.
