Sigh, this dizziness continues to persist. I am now seeing a Neurologist who has determined I had a viral infection in my ear which caused inflammation. So I continue to be a dizzy dame thanks to the inflammation which hasn't healed. And I keep losing things. I must have an ogre in my closet who is having fun hiding things. After a week of looking I finally found my thumb drive that I use to bring designs from my computer to my machine. Yes, Dennis, the thumb drive I had washed last year. But my scissors are still missing. I guess I will need to buy more scissors since it is a pair I use almost every day.

Hi Karen, a few years ago I had an inner ear viral infection. The specialist I went to told me the only way to get rid of it is to keep moving. Don't sit still, you have to exercise. Well, that was sure easier said than done. I threw up all the time and walked sideways, was SO dizzy. It did last a couple months but each day I kept moving around as much as possible. It finally did go away! So, there is hope! As for missing in action items? I don't think there is help for that one. The ogre keeps on coming around. lol . Hope this helps? Some flowers for you and all!

I hope you feel better soon Karen. My mom used to have inner ear problems and used to take meclizine regularly for her dizziness. I don't know if that's what your dr gave you or not, but it helps some people and can be purchased over the counter as well as a prescription, it's the same thing. Take care of yourself and stay safe.

I am so sorry to hear you are no better Karen. Dizziness is no laughing matter and ear infections are the pits, they are so hard to clear up and so close to the brain. I do hope you will soon get the correct treatment and be back to your old happy self in no time.

As for your errant thumb drive, would you like to make yourself a cover that you can thread a ribbon through and hang around your neck?
If you didn't get these ITH designs before, just holler and I'll send you all three, they stitch out very quickly on felt.
Hugs n roses, Meg

Oh and please don't feel bad about misplacing your scissors, I have lost my diamond bracelet, cost $2,500, and I have absolutely no idea where it is. I have stopped looking now. :-(

Thinking of you and hoping this is resolved soon; please try to be kind to yourself and be careful to avoid a fall. The mystery of the missing scissors and the mean ogre on top of your dizzies sounds like some retail therapy might be a good idea - why stop at scissors? - if your complaint is taking its own sweet time to heal, at least you can treat yourself to something to smile about in the mean time.

I actually like the sound of this because infections can be healed! As for the ogre, think you're just bumfuzzled because of the imbalance issues. It will all get better when it gets better. I am praying for complete recovery! We need you HAPPY.

Oh Karen I am sorry the vertigo is persisting. My Aunt has the very same thing & she has seen a chiropractor to get exercises to help with it & she seems to think they are working. Just another option. I have the spins & can't bend down without them they are my closest friends & never leave my side or should I say my head. But I adjust & try not to bend over when I can help it or at least make sure I have something to hold onto on the way down. they are the most annoying companions! You have to find a way to look at it with humor it does help. Life was very hard when my ears were plugged for the last month & then low & behold I woke up Thursday morning & I can hear again! It will get better. ~hugs~

you need to wear an apron with lots of pockets when you sew that way you know where everything is! lol I'm sure the scissors will show up, probably after you buy new ones though! lol

Ms Karen, I'm sorry you aren't feeling well. Ear Problems aren't any fun. Sorry also that you have 'ogres' at your house...I'm thinking I'm glad I only have pixies, fairies and elves living with me. They hide things in plan sight and I can't find right in front of my nose. Your 'Ogre' just sounds down right mean, especially to do that to some one who isn't well. lol

Dear Dizzy Dame, I am so sorry to learn of your continuing health worries and know from personal experience just how nasty these ear infections can be. I do hope that your specialist will be able to resolve matters very quickly for you.
Given your delicate condition, I would not have commented upon the 'Thum Drive'............................and am still going to refrain from any derogatory remarks out of heartfelt kindness. As for your lame excuse justifying the purchase of a new pair of scissors, could I suggest that you look into all the obvious places a lady might store them............for example, the dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, hidden under the multitude of other scissors in your inventory, under your fabric stash, etc. Most importantly, keep taking the tablets.

So sorry to hear you are still dizzy. Hope your neurologist can fix this quickly for you. That bad ogre must be banned. He is getting in too much trouble!! Maybe now he will let the scissors lay out where you will see them.

Inflamed or infected ears are NO GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be careful---take your time---you DO NOT NEED TO RUSH for anyone or anything-----get your (physical) stability before you even try to move---It is NOT NEEDED to lose your balance, fall, and break a bone!!!!!
People, things, phone calls, answering the door, etc, can WAIT----take your time and be careful!!!!
God bless and take care of and heal you!!!!!
