3-21-14 - Hello All, I finished the top of my car quilt and I'm really happy with the results!! The top only cost me $126. ha ha and that's because I fussy cut the helmuts and cars. But I now have to find material for the sides, I under estimated the amount of material I'd need..... a costly quilt for sure!! I added a Funland, Cinema and Mall but no school he he

Dolly, It is just beautiful! I know he will love it. And, something I really like is how the colors are balanced so well. You have the large green spaces off setting the smaller car spaces and then the blue roads just set them off perfectly! He won't know whether to play or sleep. He will probably fall asleep while he is playing! Just wonderful the way you pulled it all together. It is attractive and filled with love!

Wow, that is pricey. I know fabric really adds up and some of the prints out there that are really cute like that usually are the priciest! Very nicely done! I have not made but 3 or 4 quilts but on a couple I had done, I took a flat sheet to use for the back, or cut up for the sides and they are can be had for a lesser price and come in matching colors too. Do you have any leftover fabric to cut for corners or strips for the sides?

It's amazing how the cost of a quilt can add up, now if you it quilted by a long-armer, it just keeps the price going up. I couldn't believe my first quilt, when I when to buy the backing I almost fainted .
Looks Good.
