Artlink will do it. Download Artlink from the Bernina website, then open it on your computer. Click on the little open folder (top left) and under "Files of type" scroll down to "All Files." Then locate the design you want to open from there, and save it to ART. Hope this is helpful.

No, it will not. It lets you convert from ART but not to it, unless you are combining designs already in Art. Only the bought Bernina programs will do that.
1941Which software and machine do you have? If you have Art software you should be able to open other formats except jef.. You can either send with a cable to your machine or use a USB stick. I love my Berninas!! Kay

88650I do not believe you can get ANY free software to convert to art. Only Bernina's software can convert it. Ask your dealer if they can help you with conversions?

I use Embird, and it can not convert to .art. When I asked the local Embird supplier about that, he said Bernina machines can use other formats, he NEVER needed to convert anything to .art, as the other formats (.pes, .EXP etc) can be used by Bernina.
I googled it, and from what I found on the internet, Bernina can use other formats, you do not have to convert to art. Read this article on Facebook if you have access to Facebook, they talk about various Bernina machines and the formats used. All said they do not need .art.

free and you can change the formats for most sewing machines even the industrial ones, plus you can edit the designs. I have been using this software for years and its fantastic, You can download i free from the internet.

No, you can't do it in that one either. You can convert from ART but not to it. Bernina software is the only one that can convert to ART.

Bernina has made sure they you can convert to ART exclusively in their own (expensive) software and not in their free one either - that let you convert from ART (and various other formats) to other formats not the other way round.

360431You cannot convert to ART except with Bernina Artista software. If you have that software you can convert PES, VP3, VIP, HUS, DST, XXX, EXP, PEC, EMD, SHV, SEW, PCS ,PCD, PCQ, PCM, CSD to ART.

Yes, we both have ART. The new machines are using EXP. but I think the software is still art for them also. I have up graded my software but keep my older 730 Embroidery machine. I love her too much to trade! Kay
158553I'm not totally sure here, but I think that the programs noted below will convert Art format to another like Pes or Hus or Vip...but I do not think that they will convert these formats to Art...that is my understanding...
