She was roosting on the branch yesterday, she loves to hang out on the edge of the nest and groom herself. Good thing she has strong claws and a terrific sense of balance.

33871Today I watched as dad was feeding him a bite, then dad a bite, so on. Baby is starting to try to preen his own feathers, with a grab or two at dad's tail feathers too. (least I think it was the dad). Finally baby just sat on his backside with his feet out in front of him...he looked like an old man! But I'm sure he's a doll in the eagle world...but he does make me grin.

253107This is so neat to watch. I was watching the first day he tried to stand on those legs and feet of his. He looked just like a human baby trying to stand and landing on his behind. Couldn't help but laugh at the little critter. He is very entertaining. Thanks for posting this.
