Hello Cuties. I am back from my LasVegas trip and now am catching up on what you all have been up to. Went to the Grand Canyon,it was so cold but beautiful, got to Vegas in the afternoon. We stayed at the Golden Nugget and played some slots(did not win a dime) and when it got dark went out on Fremont street to check out the Fremont Experience-a light show. It was certainly different. People in Las Vegas don't believe in wearing much clothes and saw stuff i had never seen before. My poor eyeballs. lol People watching is worth the trip. Ate the buffets, saw Cirque Soleil show ka. It was fantastic. Rode the bus on the strip during the day and went through the casinos ,saw the fountains, did a little shopping but never got around to fabrics, Too much else to do. I did win a tshirt at the Four Queens casino. On the way out of town stopped at Chinatown and I bought some Chinese groceries,Was a very interesting place also. So I had my fun and now time to get back to reality. It is good to be back

Welcome home Bev. Glad to hear that you have had a wonderful time and behaved yourself! I spent two weeks there a few years back over the Christmas and New Year and must say that it was like landing on another planet.......................no insult intended. Now I have to ask, did you do all the rides like Ann and I did........................................?

Dennis, did you ride the roller-coaster?

No way,I try to keep my feet on the ground. At the stratosphere they say you can eat your lunch and lose it all in the same place. I do believe I may have seen some aliens from that other planet.

Sounds great! Welcome back. Did you go to the Forum shops at Caesars? There's a great chocolate shop and restaurant there.

I'm glad you had a good time. We used to have to go there yearly for the carpet markets. Vegas is another world unto itself.
Just outside of Vegas is Red Rock Canyon. It is so very beautiful.

Glad you are home safe and sound. My husband and I went to Vegas a couple of years ago. We agree that the people watching is like no where else on earth.

So was it a road trip? I have a Chinese store near here and do not know what to buy or how to make anything.

yes 2270 miles round trip. I also don't know anything about Chinese cooking but am willing to try new things. I bought rice and seaweed and rice ball molds, green tea and noodles, chinese candy but no buttons as it was a grocery store. Go check out the Asian market,it's fun. First time I have ever been also,Prices were low. I was surprised, got a lot for my money.

Vegas sounds fun Bev, eyeballs or not! Buy egg roll wrappers and chop all your leftover veggies small (or just cabbage, onions). Spoon out on a wrapper, tuck in two opposite ends, roll. Dampen the "flap" of the envelope and seal. When all are made, fry in hot oil and YUM! Good with or without jar of sweet and sour sauce. Can add bits of leftover meat (sausage, chicken, turkey, shrimps, cooked beef), but not necessary. Chinese is cheap. Any body diabetic, PM me for sugarless Sweet and Sour.
