This picture was taken last Friday from the street front, my Madonna (Amyrillis belladonna) lillies have just about gone. When they die off I get lots of green leaves, looking forward to Autumn (1st day of Autumn here in Australia today). Love to you all, Chris

P.S. We've have had so much rain it's been wonderful!!!!!! The little dark purple plants in the front of our fence are called Torinias and I don't know what the other purpley ones are called. I only have purple, blue, yellow and white flowers in my garden. Those Madonna lillies were there when we bought the house 12 years ago.

It is interesting to note that you have real roof tiles............................and there was me thinking that all Aussie houses had wriggly-tin roofs........

Our winters are pretty mild. I've lived here for 28 years and the coldest it's ever gotten to during the day is 12 or 13C (53.6F) The average for winter is around 17C (about 62.6F) which is quite comfortable. Love Chris

Thanks Heather, I'm particularly proud of my two Weeping Grevilleas (they have been grafted onto Silky Oak stock). The type is called Royal Mantle and has little red flowers in the Springtime (unfortunately for me) as I didn't want red in the garden, but hey they bring the birds in who love the nectar. Love Chris (These specimens are 12 years old now and are huge!)

Lovely picture. My MIL called the pink flowers Belladonna Lillies (They are also known as Naked Ladies, goodness knows why) Love Shirley

Sooooo beautiful! I love the colors you have and makes me wish I had a place to plant and grow the flowers I want to grow! Deer and moose eat anything we try. Lovely

I love the area you are in. I checked it out on Google the other day, you are very close to the lake! Looks like only a few hundred metres. We just have snails that eat my flowers and plants! he he he! Love Chris

They are so pretty! I hope we have a wet spring, since here we had a dry winter.

Hi Chris, we don't usually get a wet winter, but do in late Summer and Spring, especially the massive thunderstorms and lightning displays around September and October. Of course when it's Autumn (Fall) here, it's your Spring and when it's Winter here, it's your Summer and vice versa. Love Chris
