My day started with a flat tire (at home on the driveway) and improved from that point forward. When my kids were teens (and thought the world was against them) I taught them if you swallow a frog first thing in the morning, nothing worse can happen all day. No stitching today - I was rebuilding my rock edge after winter's damage. Looking forward to tomorrow - very cold (29 degrees) and I can stay in and stitch all day!

I hope your back feels better soon. And oh, the gardens are cheering.

I had heard that before, but had forgotten about it. That's pretty rough, swallowing a frog, that is. I've been raking and hauling leaves for 2 days. We had such a rainy fall, I didn't get my leaves raked from the beds. DH mowed them out of the yard, but the beds were full! My back is aching, but I'm over 1/2 way through. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow and hopefully I can finish, if it hasn't finished me already!

Oh, your poor (r)achin back. I know just what you mean. I rake 11 months per year (January off, just on principal.) I'll have 23 flower beds to rake out in another 2 weeks or so. Some big and some medium and some small, just whatever I could piece in where I have sunshine. Don't you love having a nice yard. The sun inspires my creativity for indoors and stitching in the cold of winter inspires my gardening.

Those old leaves do make a nice warm blanket for the flora don't they?
