85867Oh Sarah, I am in love with Lemon. As you know we have two parrots. it takes a long time to build trust with them. Sharing food is one way of sharing with them to make friends. I bet she even has words for foods. Josh is looking so much older now! Thanks for sharing this picture!

Thank you Jan - Unfortunately Lemon does not say a word, just squawks a lot!! Joshua's accident certainly made him grow up in double quick time. He is 19 now.

11929Funny pic Sarah. Have just laughed about your comment that you and Lemon are not the closest friends. When I was a kid my BBF had 2 budgies. Whenever I came into her room one of them flew to my head and scratched my scalp. Although they ensured me that this is a sign of affection I hated it and never evolved a connection to birds...

No Carolyn, she lives with my youngest daughter and her two teenage boys in Johannesburg - 1300 kilometers away.

168959Hi Sarah, these Umbrella Cockatoos are much prettier than our Sulphur crested Cockatoos. Lemon is a great name for the bird as they usually have a lemon tinge to their under feathers. Great to see Joshua looking so good. Love Chris
