Watch out the Aussies are bad looses and if they don't win it will be somebody else's fault, so they will probably fire the coach, change the captain or members in the team! Just thought I would put the cat among the pigeons!
Since they fired the South African coach they haven't looked back. They obviously weren't happy under that regime.
I don't recall them blaming anyone but themselves when they lost in England.
South Africa 5 for 214 from 83 overs at stumps, Day 1.
With a run-rate of 2.58 that's better than England did!
Our poor old mother country didn't fare well down under during the summer season. I hope the South African's put on a better show. Love Chris
Just a warning to all - the test could last 5 days...........
I love to watch you two have a friendly competition. I hope to see many more.
It's cricket.......................nothing friendly about it!!
Go Sarah, sort those Aussies out....................
I have been out this afternoon so have not a clue what the score is - it was 146 for 3 when I left. As for sorting the Aussies out............Big task.
Just had an idea, perhaps we could have our own team. I played cricket - rather a while ago but I was a fair bowler when not wicket keeping. Anyone else play?
Hi Caroline, although I love watching the game I have never participated in it. My father's sister Janet played for a South Australia team when she was in her prime. She loved it. Love Chris
I am afraid that I am a real girl - not sporty in the least but do love to watch sport on the box. Proteas doing much better now Chris!!
played plenty of 'backyard cricket'. What else when one has 3 brothers and cricket-mad Dad!!!
Just got home having had a crown fitted on tooth and been taken out to lunch by DH. Going to watch some cricket now
I have just woken up after watching Team GB (Ladies) win the bronze medal in the curling.
WOW! Dennis, it must have been riveting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at least you got to see the inside of your eyelids ha ha ha! Love Chris
I'm just hoping that somebody at the BBC does something to shut up that Steve Cram before he commentates on the men's final, GB v Canada. He was a runner and knows less about curling than I do (and that's diddly-squat). I think his contract must have him being paid by the number of words uttered, irrespective of the relevance to the match. A classic statement of his was "This last stone by the Swiss could decide the outcome of the medal position........................................but then again, so could the next stone from Team GB!"
YEE HAA! Grame Smith is out for 9 within the first half hour! Come on Aussie come on, come on! etc. etc. Love Chris
P.S. Just got Amla out too! 2 for 11!!!!
Thank you Dennis. I think the Proteas only have to hear the word Aussie and they just fall to pieces.
Well, I hope it all goes well for both teams. It's really sticky, humid and quite yucky here at the moment. I wish it would cool down a tad. You should be just about to start the game any minute now, as you guys are 9 hours behind us. It's 7.30pm here, so GAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Chris
