Welcome back, we did miss you! you certainly did a lot of sewing while your pc was out, I became a Nanna for the 10th time.. Zackary Leslie Betts born 6th feb weighing 8lb 4ozs and 20in long, her smallest of the 4 boys. Will put up photo in couple days
The smallest?!!!!! Congratulations Nanna,I also have 10, and would love to see the photos-Toogie
I noticed your absence. Good to see you back and mostly okay. I think the heart thingis not the dancing, it's all that stitching. My goodness! Take care.
Maybe if the pc didn't get fixed so quick, I could have finished that quilt.-LOl-If I start on it again,I may well have to see a cardiologist!-LOl
Yayyy!!! Glad to see you, I have missed you very much. I know you're happy about the computer and power, when our internet goes out, it's pretty hohum around here but then I actually get more done, and being without power makes you appreciate electricity most of all. Amen! Welcome back Toogie!!! I hope the dr gives you a clean bill of health too. I have missed your seeing your projects. God bless you and all cuties too!
Sharon
Thank you Sharon, such a warm feeling to know I was missed.Speaking of projects, have you made any of those Snuggler things you wrap a baby in? I got the pdf file and printed out the pattern but not sure if I pieced it together right.Looks somewhat ok,guess I'll just have to make one and see.
No, I surf the net the best. lol! I bet my new grandson would like one though, I have so many projects I want to do, I sure hope I get more ambitious, I want to work fewer hours so I have more time, and hopefully semi retire at the end of the year. I'm glad you got lots of sewing done before your power went out. I've not been to projects yet to see if you have shared them but after supper will mozy that way. I bet you did it right though, you're one smart cookie!!!
So glad that you are back to "normal" once again. Going without power is not fun! I'm glad that you all got to stay nice and warm though in your kitchen. The grands are growing and I love the look on Nora's face! Love Chris
She looks like she is shocked! I did look like a bag lady,I was so wrapped up.Their brother was bored, bored, bored. He would ask if this thing worked or that worked. We told him it all works but not without electricity!
It's good to see you again Toogie! I bet your booties came in handy for sure. We weren't without power this year, but in the ice storm of 1993 we were out of power for 4 days. My kids ate so much tuna fish that they won't hardly touch it now, but we survived.
I can relate to that ! Kind of like when you were pregnant and threw up so much, you didn't want it for a while or EVER again-lol ....Did you know that I wrote that song for Garth Brooks,"I thank God for unanswered prayer". I sure did. I threw up so much with each pregancy I prayed "Lord just let me die, take me home"- I am glad He hasn't answered my prayer yet.-LOL
Glad you are back! Winter has been a tad too cold for me.
Thank you I'm glad too.I also think this has and still is a bad winter. We had a hot summer and now a freezing winter, both to the extreme.
Hello Toogie, glad you're back! Hope you are all nice and toasty warm again, I cannot begin to imagine how cold you must have been!! I hate the cold and can never get warm enough. We are sitting here at 8pm (South African time) with aircon on as our temperature is 30 deg C. Where is the picture with you in your hoodie please!! LOL
If you really must see, click on my name and it will be on the 3rd or 4th page, terrible photo/subject, no reason she's afraid.-lol-I can't take the cold either but we survived, and yes I am warm again.
I missed you. I saw a hooded towel in projects and I thought of you. Glad you managed well through the storm and got through relatively unscathed.
I saw the towels too, aren't they pretty.Good to be missed but Great to be back,thanks-Toogie
yes i was wondering thee other day were you went but i knew you would be sewing cause like me its in your blood lol Welcome home :):)hugs Carolyn
Thanks for the welcome home, great to be back.I had some designs, saved on my brother card, so I was able to still emb with no pc, but complete shut-down with no electricity. However that wasn't long.I just commented on your basket,I like,in projects.
#1-The girls asleep, that night, in the kitchen/living area.It was dark but I have a night setting on my camera. #2 Nora staring at me,that morning, with my hood on-LOL
I know I missed you! So good to have you back and thanks for telling us of your adventures too.
Hugs!
Don't know where you are but sounds quite an adventure. You now 'Have been there, done that and have the T-shirt.' Welcome back, glad the loved ones are all safe, have a wonderful weekend. Good Health to you.
Yes I am relatively new and am still learning the ins and outs of this forum. The site is wonderful! Thank you for the welcome.
The little one is thinking 'Do I know you???? Grandma????'
Any cute little caption could go there. Take care
Thank you, debwebster.
I'm not sure of the correct protocols yet, and if I've intruded on or stepped on anyone's toes when or wherever I've posted a note, apologies are in order.
Toogie, good to see you back. One certainly does appreciate electricity and being without for even a short time makes one value what we have.
We really don't 'notice',think about it,until we don't have any.But boy we do when its back on! Hope you are well and warm
