I guess you've already reviewed lots of pages of this site's Projects section for inspiration? How about trying something you've not done before? Bagmaking, applique, freestanding lace, cutwork. I always seem to have more projects waiting in my head than time to do them. You could also check your birthday list or calendar and see who's next up for a gift from you.

Try snuggling up to a warm fire if you have one of course, close the curtains to shut out the weather, put on the TV if you have power if not light the candles - and KNIT.

I am thinking of trying the mile-a-minute pattern. I have always enjoyed crochet but never heard of this till now. Got to give it a go.

Time to work on your UFOs, I think... :-)
Pretty line of designs on some pillowslips?
I was thinking of embroidering some light weight designs on a petticoat that I am in the process of making. Bought a dress recently that is way too thin to wear without a petticoat.
Little book of letters using the alphabets and numbers from Cute Embroidery.
I am being stared at by a pussy cat wanting a cuddle so bye!

Wishing for more rain to fill the tank up & to make the grass grow where it should ,not in the garden.Sick of all the grey sand coming into the house-cat,dog & people all guilty of this. Now I 'm off to have another go at finding out why my overlocker thread keeps on breaking after sewing 6-10 ins.Changed needles & swapped the reels of thread around &its still doing it.Now I'm going to thread it with another colour for a different garment to see what happens.

I have lots of ideas, and get confused what I want to do next, I have 3 designs loaded and am not in the mood, so I am looking at a piece of silk I found today and thinking it would make a great pillow cover and what design would look great.

Actually, on second thoughts (along the lines of my first thoughts!!).
I just got up from my recliner chair. It's a very warm but pleasant day. I am wearing shorts and t-shirt. I've left half my backside skin on the chair, I'll swear. A little simple patchworked quilt throw would be excellent on the seat of my chair since I gave my booster cushion to DHDon for his electric lift chair. I think I'll have to eat my own words and really get to work and create a few little throws....... ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.... poor me.

In Oregon,USA we just finished with the snow and ice. I finished some quilt tops, made some gift bag totes, and baby shower gifts such as a folding changing pad with pockets to keep wipes and extra diaper. My daughter shops at my house for gifts so I try to always keep stuff on hand. I also made pet pillows using all my small fabric scrapes as filler, [ keeps it out of the land fill] and fabric that I just wouldn't use. Help my granddaughter make hooded blankets that she gave to the neonatal intensive care unit. made 22 altogether. Now I think I'll try a chenille project. Hope this inspires!

cold sounds real nice to me ,although it is a lot cooler today and raining here in the Blue Mountains ,Im going to be working on my quilting frame today ,my daughter bought it a few years ago , but never got the chance to give it a try ,we have a spare bedroom or 2 ,so we set it up in there ,a friend came to show me how to use it last Monday ,I have now quilted 3 quilts on it , and have been very happy with the results ,these quilts are for the Bush fire appeal ,so today I want to get one of my own ufos on the frame and quilted ,

Well, it's 8.45am here Saturday morning. Been up since 5.00am! Trevor has gone off to the Hunter Valley again to help out our best friends with their grape picking harvest. They have a lovely property called Mont Valley in Mount View. It's about an hour and 20 minutes to get there. I got up too and decided to do some sewing. I'm making tea towels with Snowflakes for my annual Christmas ladies luncheon. Then I went to the shops at 7.00am and bought food items for a Zucchini slice. My best friend's 60th surprise party is today at lunchtime. Sue's daughter SMS'd me last night in a panic asking me to make a Zucchini slice as she had ruined hers and she said I'm the Zucchini slice expert! So it's just finished cooking and the kitchen smells fabulous. I'm leaving about 9.30 as it's a good 2 hours or more driving and in the rain I am extra careful. Hope everyone has had a lovely Valentine's Day. Love Chris

Here's an idea that I need to make. DHDon has a wheelchair which he is at last willing to use. It has a special cushion hired from Community Health. Here's the thing. After his shower or wash the cushion could get wet or powdered so I'm going to make a little square quilt, not a cushion cover, from a collection of stitched designs and fabric squares, about a square each side bigger than the cushion just to throw over and keep the cushion pristine. Why not a cushion cover? Well, I'd like to be able to throw it in the washing machine frequently. That brings to mind the need to make two little square throws from stitched designs squares and fabric..... :} ..... just a thought and it would be a really easy, pleasant cold-weather day project, very quick and rewarding. Of course, this idea can be used anywhere if the corners of the throw were tied with ribbons to the legs of chairs and then the throw would keep chair cushions in place, too. I'll be using old towelling or flannelette for backing and probably no batting - that will work itself out when I get to that stage.
Just an idea!!!

It certainly isn't the weather for being outdoors! I've been a bit uninspired for the last few days so I could do with some new ideas as well.
