I have been experimenting for handbag straps, I stitched these pieces out of piping. The first attempt I added 1 piece after another to the same side. It curved really bad. Then I did the circle, which was flat and great so I decided to see if I could build a side. It has a nice flair to it. The third I put 2 and 2 together and it worked best. Now I have to figure out how to cover them. I tried wrapping in fabric and even the "good" one did not wrap well. Good thing they look good "as is"

I have seen this one, I don't like the raggedy edges in this technique, I have thought about it though.

It probably would make a good base for almost anything slippers included.

right now it is upside down on a piece of carnival glass to try to protect the glass from dust. I need to find a better bowl to do this, and then this piece is up for grabs.
