I just saw your post--I also had a fall while gardening on Monday--Gee I did a good job of my eye(had glasses on) and bruising on my left shoulder. We are a great part .No craft group for me this week.
Hope you are on the mend and glad you had no br
Thank you - I am on the mend. Just shook me up a bit. I hope you are feeling better too. Sarah
You forgot the bruised ego!!! I found this the most humiliating part of a recent fall when my husband called for an ambulance as I couldn't get up off our driveway and he was unable to help. To add insult to injury one of the ambo's who came was a friend of one of my sons, luckily he made light of the situation by talking of old times while I calmed myself.....Ann
ps......hope you are feeling better and like the colour purple!!!
Oh Sarah don't try to fly. This is for those crazy people at the olympic games with a ski jump in front of them. Arnica is a good idea; I have always Arnica-globule in my bag if Felix hurts itself.
Hope you feel much better soon :o)
Hugs to you, Bettina
Oh boy, Sarah, you were so fortunate not to have broken anything....and usually the next day is when you really feel the bumps and bruises....take care, my friend!
Ouch, perhaps you have broken your fairy wings. Glad you had a soft-ish landing and missed the cement. Take care of your neck!
Do you know, I never thought of that - how clever. Thank you for your comment.
Maybe you really are an "AiryFairy" dear friend! I'm so glad you landed your face in grass instead of on the concrete! Just remember now you can't really fly - Hugs
You really are lucky! When I took flight from the 4th step up in my son's house, I had a bad break - about an inch or two down from the top on my arm and it did a 360% turn. I was supposed to lose 50 - 70% of the use of that arm, but must be my stubburnness, I got most of the use of it back with a lot of hard work.
So glad you missed the concrete - then it would have been a different story!
Glad to hear you did no serious damage hope your bruises wont hurt to much when they come out Arnica jel or tablets is very good for bruising and aches
So glad you faired well from that. I'm sure you will be still and sore for a while!
I ....like you are grateful that you were not hurt worse! hugs Loralye
Well, good that you aren't hurt worse! Congratulations on the new of Josh.
That's exactly why I never go anywhere without my broom!
Amazing that you did not get hurt worse. Maybe Joshua had an abundance of prayers for him and forwarded some to you. Hope you feel better soon.
Angie - what a lovely thing to say. DH has just rubbed some Arnica gel onto my neck. Made it feel much better.
So glad to hear you are ok.... A few years ago, I learned that I could not "fly" down the basement stairs.... Scared the heck out of my husband. He thought I broke my leg. Thank goodness it was just a sprained ankle.
I just read the news about Joshua, if this happened after the good news I could imagine you where you so relieved you thought you could fly. But this was before. So please don't try this again. Take good care and hugs, Gerry
Thank you Gerry - you have also been so kind. the news of Josh has just been fantastic. I know exactly how that little kitty feels!!!!
Well now u know you can't fly so please quit trying ok hugs Carolyn
Sounds rather scarey, it is interesting that one can fall and be Ok (is) after the event. Take care and look where you are going next time you go down steps
The problem is - I always have to do thing quickly. Let us hope it teaches me a lesson.
I hope you feel better soon, it certainly takes longer to heal after we are no longer kids. Thank heaven that nothing was broken!!!
Ouch Ouch and Ouch. I am glad you are feeling better, it could have been so much worse. Please be careful and see a doctor if your neck does not feel better soon.
DH and I have just been saying - how I did not break anything is just amazing. Thank you Karen and I hope you are feeling better soon.
Sarah I hope by now you are starting to feel a bit better. I am so glad to hear you did not break anything. Hopefully the bruises will heal quickly. Hugs, Mary
Be sure to go to a doctor if you think there s something not quite right besides stiffness...so sorry you got hurt,,,Here's a cyber (gentle) HUG..might take something for the swelling
Oh! dear Sarah, I'm just seeing this post now and it's 8.45pm Tuesday evening. I hope you had a nice long hot shower to ease the bruising. Not much one can do about the face other than makeup to hide the pretty colours that will come out. Look after your neck as that will most probably take a while to come good. Love Chris
I straight away put ice on my neck and took an anti inflammatory. Took a sleeping pill and had a wonderful nights sleep and as I expected I am a bit sore today.
Toothpaste often works on making the colors go away faster. Take some Valerian Root, Passionflower (Passiflora), and Magnesium Carbonate for the soreness and stiffness.
You are one lucky Cutie, hope your not in to much pain. Glad for you that nothing was broken! Juanita
You are a very lucky lady, this could have bee so much worse if you hadn't landed on the grass.. Take things slowly for a few days and get the family to wait on you, you deserve it!
Ouch - lots of sympathy coming your way. Take care of yourself and eat chocolate!
Thank you - we ate chocolate last night. Made me feel better straight away.
Oops!!!!! Sarah. How come you did not mention your bruised pride. Be careful, hugs Marg
Ouch! You hit a lot of places. There is a product here in the States called Arnica. It is an herb from Alaska that takes away the black and blue. it comes in liquid, homeopathic and capsule. Take care - gentle hug!
Next fall or car crash or hard braking in a car - As soon as practical, take a really hot, really long shower. It takes a lot of the stiff and hurt out of the trauma to your body, but not the black and blue! I was in a crash one time and had the lines of the seat belt in black, blue and yellow the next day, but no stiffness because of my little hot shower trick. Hope you are beginning to feel better. Did you have time to savor that feeling of flying? I'm a klutz and I garden on a hill, so there's a lot of falling and sliding in my yard!
Oh I know just how you feel. I missed a step and fell backwards and rolled on to my side....no one was home and I wasn't sure if I could get up. Bruised up bad. I laid on my side with a lizard watching me from the wall while he did push ups.
Take it easy glad nothing was broken
I was also alone and stayed lying down for a while, until I realized that I was not really hurt.
