It will only scan your computer for errors, and it will tell you got heaps of errors. Then to get these fixed you have to pay for the programme. I suggest if you have no problems with how your computer runs, then you do not have to worry. You can maintain your computer yourself by going into System Tools and clicking onto Disc cleanup and Disk Defragmenter. If you do this regularly, you should have no trouble and your computer will work faster and better.

Just the other day, I received a email to click here and upgrade my email. At first you think "ok" but you always have to remember if it needs upgrading I do it myself and not by someone telling me to do so. So I logged out and logged back in with no problem then or since. There are scams out there that seem so real and to help you, but never click on anything that is on a page you are visiting to upgrade anything.

Hi Claude, just as a follow up: if ever you go to a website and a page comes up that is NOT what you were expecting or a pop-up window opens as well.... ALWAYS close them immediately. It is difficult to explain, but there are unscupulous people out there who HACK into popular websites and they attach their FALSE pages to them, set up so that when you open that popular website you don't get IT, but you get their FALSE page and sometimes very BAD things can happen if you allow it to stay open for more than a few seconds. You have to be on guard all the time and if you have any doubts about a site you visit, SHUT IT DOWN QUICKLY. I hope this helps. hugs n roses, Meganne

Yes and it is a good idea to get a phishing filter. This will check for bogus web pages.

DO NOT DO THIS! One of my kids did it on my other laptop (old one, thank goodness) and we cannot get it off. Even the company said that they have no control over the subcontract companies that send it out as spyware. BEWARE!!!

Amazing designs have nothing to do with what is advertised on their web site. It is a lot like television. How many of us have moaned about certain advertisements shown that are,
to say the least, objectionable.

No, please don't ever do that. There are anti virus softwares that take care of that.

So glad I came back to see how others responded. Otherwise, I would not have noticed what I unintentionally said.

NO!!!! You risk getting Spyware downloaded to your computer or even viruses, it is not Amazing but paid advertisers. If you are using windows you can get that done by Microsoft for free, just go to the Microsoft website and look around or search for "malicious software" it should take you to what you need to do.
