Glad to hear he's not in as much pain, tell him to drink lots of milk to help strengthen the bones and a little exercise will also help not only his spirits but his leg.
Poor baby! That made my stomach lurch. No wonder they call it a pin. Goal post was already taken! I'm praying fervently for this young man.
My goodness Sarah that is huge! I pray that Joshua is now on the road to full recovery and that his leg completely heals. I pray also that he won't have to rely on the walking stick for too long. He has such a strong determination to get fit and better. Love Chris
Here's wishing your Joshua the very best for his continuing and complete recovery, and to be able to quickly resume normal life without pain.
Thank you Dennis for your kind words. The school sent him some work yesterday, so hopefully he will get down and do some homework today.
Heavens, I sure hope this is the beginning of a healed and healty leg so he can get on to the fun things in life.
Not a good sight to see, but knowing that it has saved his leg and that he will be able to walk is wonderful. Walking with a stick is a small price (as if there is such a thing) to be able to walk. So very proud of this young man for all he has gone through and still shows a wonderful attitude. Praying for all of you.
OUch! That is NOT what I thought a "pin" would look like either!!!
He has got to be so grateful they have been able to save his leg. Now that the giant pin is out I hope the pain and infections will no longer be a problem. Well except when the weather changes and he may get some aching but that will be a small aggravation probably for the rest of his life.
Thank you Anita. At the moment he is walking with a stick and putting very little weight on it.
Pin! That's a railroad spike!! Glad the pain is better!
Have to admit that "a pin" in my imagination was a little smaller too. Hope everything is healing now without further problems.
Hugs to you, Bettina
I do hope and pray that he will finally heal completely and enjoy life! He is so strong! May you all be blessed!
He is incredibly brave & just the site of it must make him grateful that it is out & he is doing well I am praying that he stays strong! He has gone through so much & his strength, faith & good medical team has kept him here, after overcoming so many obstacles I think he can do most anything! hugs Loralye
It has been a very long road for him to travel. I just hope that the leg will finally heal.
That is a very large pin. I hope this is the end of all of Joshua's problems with his leg and he heals properly. Hugs Jerri
I would call this a stick/rod rather than a pin. I truly hope and pray that this will finally give him healing.
My goodness, that is a huge pin. Please keep us updated on his progress. Our prayers continue for his full recovery.
Oh dear, what a very large pin !!! I hope now this one is out he will recover soon and will have less pain. He's such a brave boy. Hugs for you and give him a special hug of your own. And with you I pray this was the last nightmare.
Thank you Gerry. He has certainly been extremely brave and I am so very proud of him.
That must count for a great deal to him. Praying for your total situation.
