I'm sure hoping all our Cuties in the Southeastern US are safe and warm and out of all the ice and snow are doing okay. Does anyone know that mom who delivered her baby in her car while stuck in the ice? Stay Safe and Warm, everyone!

They interviewed the Dad on the news here in Atlanta. They couldn't make it to the hospital and dad pulled over and a police officer came by to check on the stopped car and Dad said we are having a baby and the police officer assisted. next day the news announced the baby girl was named "Grace". That child will grow up saying " I was born during Atlanta snow jam 2014" . Kay

There's hope on the horizon! In Knoxville, TN it was -1 Tues night; 2 last night; wonder what tonight will bring? Then it's supposed to be in the 50's by Sat.!! Hubby used the leaf blower to clear the driveway before it froze! It works great if it's a "dry" light snow.

I have been praying for our friends and neighbors. One of our friends sent a picture of our home (we are stationed in New Jersey and have a renter in our home). And yes, it is covered with snow and ice. I am praying our home is not damaged thanks to this storm.

No, I don't, but I bet she wanted to punch her doe-eyed husband in the nose when he said he'd much rather be having a baby there in the storm than trying to get home in that mess.
I feel like I should end this with LOL.

what?? A lady did have a baby during this Atlanta nightmare. I think a police officer helped deliver. They announced later that they named the little baby girl " Grace"

You Snow Folk will love this: I have just been out in my snowshoes(summer sandals with socks) and my warmest sweater (Cotton and silk) with the snow shovel (rake) and snow blower (push broom) to try to reduce the ice layers and standing water (which will refreeze) on my driveway during the warmest part of the day. We really aren't equipped. And, if you ever move South, give away or sell your snow shovel before you leave snow country; I once turned one down on a garage sale for $4!

You ARE a HAM

Thanks, I think, but Grace and Ham(let) were a pair of cats I had when I first went on the internet. Everybody said women shouldn't use their real name.

Staying inside and staying warm in West Texas 58 degrees but the wind blowing makes it feel much colder. A good day to start a new project, finish and old project or even play in the kitchen, cook something warm and filling. Take care and remember the cold can't last forever. Just seems that way.
