I'm sorry, I do not have a "plan" for you, but I do have a couple of questions regarding those pegboard thread racks that have been posted here. Perhaps I just need to see and example up close
If you purchase these hanger arms, or the metal kind from the hardware store - do they poke through the back, and what do you do to keep the tips from scratching your walls?
If you use dow rods to make your own thread hangers - do you just cut them straight across and then tilt them when you glue them into the holes, and what type of glue to use

Those are good questions and I have spent time. I would like mine to be like michelles, which I think is tilted and use wood glue in the holes to hold the dowels. I do not think the dowels are tilted to the base I think the base is tilted to the wall. How do you attached it to the wall? also you have to build a frame that holds the pegboard away from the wall about 1/2".
