My step son skyped us at lunch time with the devastating news that his mother has been diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus. She was operated on yesterday but the tumor was too big to remove. I feel as if I have been hit with a truck. My DH is so very upset for his son. As always when I have bad news I have to do something so I have turned to my embroidery machine for some comfort. I will place in projects later. Hugs Sarah.

What devastating news I pray that the treatment will shrink the tumor to enable the Doctors to operate again in the very near future. I pray she will be without pain and be filled with courage and hope.

These certainly do seem to be trying times for everyone, but especially so hard for a son threatened with such a hard diagnosis for the mom he is so close to. Thank you Anita. The doctors in Munich are saying that Chemo may reduce the tumor and then they will operate again.

Maybe Sarah they will be able to shoot it with radiation, I hope so.I know all of you are very upset, and it is so hard for us as parents,to watch our children suffer or see them hurting.Will be thinking of you today and praying for the family.May God bless all of you-Toogie

Oh Chris it is really hard. Seeing Philip on skype this morning in tears was just too much. He is incredibly close to his mother and the pain that he is going through.....
