Having read Vicki's (basketkase) post about her cats with fleas - I then read Meganne's reply. I have been having flea problems for years with Mushu my pekingese. I have tried collars, Frontline, Advantage and a pill which was useless. Back in Oct/ Nov Mushu was at the vet and he told me about a new pill on the market. It lasts for 40 days. We have not seen one flea since then on Mushu or in the house. It is called Comfortis - not cheap but worth every cent. Oh what a happy dog and mother!! Sarah

Hope we never have this plague with our rabbits ;o)
Once my cats had a lot of fleas during a hot summer. They even jumped on my legs when I was walking though my flat. Had small bowls with water and dish liquid on my table and counter top and put them in there whenever I felt one jumping on my leg :o(
So good that you both get rid of them now.
Greetings, Bettina

I have read on the internet that it makes some dogs sick. We have had no trouble at all with the product. Mushu is my second pekingese - I just love them. Please send me a PM with a picture.

I think it must be misery for any animal to be infested with fleas. You must try it and see.

I found this about 2 yrs ago and was ordering it on the internet from AUstralia Cost was a l ot less than US prices. Then all of a sudden I was unable to get it. Seems Australia site could not ship to US, But got a yrs supply thru another country. But now I only give dogs pills every other dose to make it last. THIS STUFF WORKS,

I have used Confortis for years. Like you said it is a little pricey but it is well worth it. For me and them. I will not use any other now that I found Confortis. Great stuff.

We have been using Comfortis for several years and I never see a flea. It works. The taste must be terrible. I crush it and put it in several bites of peanut butter. I have to fool her by first giving her a taste of peanut butter with out the meds and always follow with a little piece of cheese. No more spitting it out. Thanks to who ever invented it!

I thought it must taste rather nice as Mushu eats it like a treat!!!

He is a cutie and probably relieved no more scratching. My girlfriend has a guide dog and she gives it yeast to repel the fleas. I don't know how much but could be by weight and thinking she used a powder and sprinkled it on the food. It does take a couple weeks to work through but natural.

When Mushu was infested with fleas the tablet worked within a couple of hours.

He used to scratch non stop - it was just so upsetting. Now he only scratches when there is an itch!!
