This morning while I was pinning something for a friend, she asked about the history of my pin box. I know I have had it for many years and I think I bought it at Heathrow. On the bottom of the tin it does say 'Bentley's of London' and I am pretty sure that it had mints in. I just love it. Thought I would ask what do other Cuties keep their pins in? Sarah.

Always worried about magnets being too close to machines.

I have a couple little tins like this, also I put used needles and have a blade for bad nests in an old cold cream container, the ones with a screw on lid. I also use the modern small plastic with pop on lids for more pins, safety pins and anything else that will fit.

Very sweet tin. I am going to go hold Jrob s hand at a pin meeting, lol. I have pin cushions and boxes in drawers. The steel pins, the ball point, I don't have flower ones thought about them. Long ones short ones. But don't have them on floor currently

I use a very pretty and very old tin to store my buttons. I have 2 pincushions at 2 of my machines. Interesting that both were gifts from different people about 20 years apart.

Wow, beautifully vintage and elegant...me, I use mostly the magnet pin holders...I have three of them...and it still seems like they are out of reach when I need them...I also have a pin cushion that just holds threaded needles...that sits near my machine...

this is so pretty, makes me wish i had stuff like this. lol...

i use the large pin magnets...i have three... one for the cutting table, and 1 near each machine... although i did learn the hard way not to put them too close to the machines... one of them threw off the settings and i had to put the Brother in the shop. So.... $200 later, i now make sure they aren't too close...

That is a lovely pin box!
The only box for my pins is the one they come in. LOL
I also have pin cushions at every sewing station. They are like scissors to me -- always missing! So I "solved it" and put one near every machine. They still seem to get lost. I do have my wrist pin cushion. It is much harder to lose as it is attached and always scratching my wrist. LOL

I know...we should figure out a way NOT to impale our wrists while returning the pins into the wrist cushion.

Mostly the carpet underneath my ironing board (where I hoop) and my sewing machine. I am a bit embarrassed as I have just realized that I am a pin hoarder!!!! I don't know when that happened. I have 4 stations at which I work and each has it's own pin cushion. I have my flower pins in the drawer of my sewing cabinet and then there is a "cute" teapot cushion that is there just to look good? I think I need to go to a meeting.

I'll join you at the meeting. Shall we have it on your carpet or mine?
