That is what they are made for! I love it! You could have a whole album of pics of birds taking baths.
Oh so wonderful, I have to get me a bird bath,,,,the one we have is cracked...love this thanks for sharing...
They are really enjoying their bath. Once my dad was sitting outside and the birds were being very vocal and he noticed the bird bath had been taken as other neighbors ornamental lawn decorations were. He went and got the trash can lid and filled it with water and then they settled down.
Shirley, these are beautiful.I love birds and the sound of them in the early morning.A few from my yard, this summer.Last one when fall/winter came.
It is a joy to watch so many birds come and go. You have a nice variety of them.
how lovely to see, they sure enjoy their bath :)
They sure do love it. I was lucky to get the photos as they are a very timid bird. One flew off while I was taking the photos.
Nice Pics, Shirley. They do look like the bigger native budgerigars that I see if I go driving in Northern Victoria -but maybe that's 'cos they're so wet! Good of you to keep them supplied so well. Do you have fruit trees for them to raid as well?
Not sure what type of parrot they are. There are quite a few around this area. No we don't have fruit trees, so they will have to raid someone elses orchard. Shirley
Oh, they are wonderful! Are they a type of budgerigar? We call them paraketes here in the US. Our parrots love the water, but they are African Greys and quite a bit larger. Thanks for sharing the photos with us!
I am not quite sure of their correct name. They are larger that the budgerigar though.
What a lovely view. My mom kept two bird baths, one like your pedestal, the other an upside down metal trash can lid on bricks on the ground. She freshened the water every other day. She said some species preferred being up in the air and some liked the ground!
Yes we have another bath down on the ground. Sometimes there are up to 7 or 8 little birds in it at the same time. We have a great advantage point to watch from the window.
Wow my neighbour has a 36 year old parrot that talks to u when u get a hair cut lol their having fun:):)hugs
I'm glad these don't talk. They may call me all sorts of things. lol Shirley
AAH! so sweet. I just have blue jays and chick-a-dees' which I love. This are beautiful.
So nice of you to provide water for these pretty ones; keep it up and send more pics.
We top the bath up every day and sometimes 2 or 3 times like when birds like these splash it all out over the side.
How cute is that!? Tks for sharing with us! We don't have that type of birds in Tenn.!!
They are a very timid bird. Thought they may fly away when they saw movement, but must have been enjoying the water too much.
Birds will be as clean as your window Shirley. Lovely pic
Cameras can be deceiving. Window not as clean as it looks in photo. Shirley
Ah, they're lovely and getting very clean I see!
