I also suffer terribly from Arthritis in every joint, but especially painful in my hands and have lost my strength in my right hand since i broke it in 3 places and tore all the ligaments and tendons. My favourite thing, i can't live without, 3 actually, electric can opener is number one; 2 is a simple plastic gadget to release vacuum top jars to make them easy to open and 3rd is a flat metal triangle shaped object that screws underneath a shelf, it has a serrated edge down two long sides and you can use both hands to hold the screw top jars into it to turn the jar which opens the lid. Anyone interested i will take pictures and post in projects.
Hugs, M

I just bury my head in the sand like an ostrich and pretend it isn't there! Sometimes, it even works. The more you concentrate on others, the less you worry about yourself. ;)

U r a caring person Minnie *4U My biggest problem I guess is arthritis n my hands some days I can hardly use them but I go ahead & do what I can even though the pain is very bad at times. I try to get so busy it distracts or takes my mind off & being a nurse I think of those n much worse pain or shape than myself. Prayer & determination r my mainstays.

That is my point do what you can and tell others how you do it . I read a lady uses paper clips instead of pins .I would like people to say how they do stuff , we all can learn from each other,be there for each other , bet you were a great nurse you can tell by what you say in your post.you are a real sweetie
