Darling!! As you know I do fostering, trap neuter release also. I have a Cashew, a Peanuts, I had a skippy too before. Great names! We are down to 15 cats right now. I have three babies ready to name and be on their own. about a half dozen are ready to go out for adoption. They are fun!! Suzanne
Hi fellow rescuer....these 3 will be ready to release tomorrow. If I hang onto them any longer will have to bring them in the house...LOL! I love that you have some the same name....any ideas for getting momma, since she has an aversion to getting near a trap or kennel?
if i lived close enuf i would come and get one. they are all soooooo cute!
Oh I like Jif's face - he looks so aware of everything! I bet you get some pretty loud hissing and spitting. My sister and I always loved finding ferell kittens in granddad's barn. We tried to tame them, and sometimes could get one to come around. But even those tiny ones were soooo wild. Hope you get the Momma soon. Thank you, Vicki and Jim for doing this important rescue!
Yes, Jan, Jif is adorable and Skip & Jif cuddle together, Cashew seems more reserved, although outside she was always palling with Jif, so the dynamics change when they are caged!! Skip's leg is healing well, she had an abcess on the underneath front leg. We paid for a 2 week long lasting antibiotic injection to take care of that. I am already getting attached so it is time to release soon!
Cute cute and cute. Kudos to you for caring for them, both inside and outside.
How many do you have? Inside outside cats all around! There should be a song about your cats! How many outside? They look healthy and happy. and they are not ferrel, correct?
Yep, you are correct, Christine, the pic with the 3 is an evening feeding and the one of just Jif is a morning, she is looking in the sunporch.......we have 6 inside right now, Grayce and her 3 sisters who are 171/2 yrs old and they were feral and after much work, they are domesticated enough to be with Jim & I.....Charles is 17 yrs old and was a stray and Sammi is 4 yrs old and was a stray as well. These 3 we have in the garage are feral.....they just started having human contact at about 4 months, when their momma finally started bringing them to eat....Then their momma got preggars again and dropped 2 more kittens which look to be about 2 mos. old....momma stopped coming and bringing the little ones when we started setting the trap and carrier out, as soon as we brought the devices back in (after a few days) she started coming again to feed.....so she will be a huge challenge to capture.........we don't believe in giving up though!
So cute!! Jif is very bright can tell would be fun to have around.
They look so sweet. Good to get them domesticated now while they are young.
oh they are sooo cute. you could just about feel their soft fur. just love cats. always have.
