Made these ornaments this afternoon. The one on left metallic thread with tissue wrap gold one side silver other. The one on right is regular embroidery polyester thread with blue silver tissue wrap. The tissue wrap kept it's foil like color after I rinsed them out and I pinched them from point to middle to allow them to shape as I wanted while drying. These are fsl. with wrap added for shinny color. Second picture shows front raised dried and 3rd is backside.

This is tissue wrap I got at a dollar store in my area. It is vinyl like plastic shinny like snack bags wrappers etc. As I stated above I placed it onto hoop with fsl design I made then once done I soaked for little to get the wss off the color of wrap stayed so I was very pleased. Hope this answers question as to what tissue wrap is. Hugs Mary
