Updating Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond Deluxe

I got a new metal magnetic frame so I had to update the machine in order for the machine to recognize the hoop. I spent hours last night, installing and uninstalling the 5D software, restarting my computer and finally got the computer to talk to the machine (I could have used a USB stitck).

Anyway, just when I thought I was getting close, I could not turn the machine on update mode no matter what I tried. I tried holding the two buttons down before switching the machine on, holding them at the same time, releasing the two buttons right away, keeping holding them....you name it. Nothing happened. I tried dozens of times and my machine still turns on in normal mode.

I finally went to bed after 1 am. Called the dealer and they asked whether I held the buttons down hard enough. I tried again so hard that I almost broke my fingers, nothing.

Finally I took the machine in and they did it right away, by holding 2 different buttons! As the snapshot below shows, I was asked to hold those two buttons, but at the store, their software told them to hold the Needle Up/Down and Restart Stitch button!

How frustrating is that!

Mystery solved. I guess it was my fault but the website was very confusing. Thank you sewist1!

Yes the website is very confusing now. Finding the Diamond now among the archived machines was a bit of a shock. No wonder people are downloading the wrong updates and having all sorts of problems.
I am waiting for a new upgrade as there is a tension problem with the thread snapping on jump stitches using the Sensor "Q" foot.

The picture you have uploaded is for the Ruby Deluxe Update. The correct ones for the Diamond are the ones they used at the store.
Did you by any chance download the Ruby Deluxe upgrade instead of the Diamond Deluxe upgrade?

I guess you are right. I just found diamond deluxe in archieved machines. I assumed that the machine below designer diamond royale with "designer *** deluxe" was DDD.

In another group that is dedicated to Vikings only, I have not counted how many people have had problems installing or following that upgrade. Tension problems have been the chief complaint.

I did go there from time to time and didn't see anybody with my problem when I was there. I have read a lot about the tension problems though.

please help me to find the updates in order to upgrade my Designer Diamond (firtst model ) to recognize the metal hoop. On the site husqvarna I can not find any updates for this hoop. thank you so much in advance.
