I found this site and was wondering if anyone but me thinks it is possible to do with fsl butterflies? I was thinking it would be adorable with fsl butterflies but I hate to try it and put in all the work and expense and not have it workable.

That is a beautiful project, I already visualized it in FSL it should look even more beautiful! go ahead but like others said do a small one just in case.

I'm thinking what makes this so nice is how it can move in a slight breeze, because the paper is so light weight. If you make it out of FSL, it needs to be very lightweight FSL. Wouldn't very lightweight with mylar be beautiful?

Sounds good. Hmmm, I have never worked with mylar. Will have to give that some thought. Thanks for the idea.

I agree with bevintex...try a small version, but don't see why it wouldn't work...be heavier but if you balanced it...don't see a problem...

It will work. I would make different sized butterflies to keep the weight down. Will you make the butterflies all white or in different colors? Both would be pretty. I hope you do try this ad post a picture in Projects.

I was thinking different colors. I have a gd due in Dec-Jan and thought it would be nice. I am making sleep sacks and I guess the reason I asked what if anyone thought it would work is I didn't really want to take time away from the baby things for something that may not work. Thanks for the input. You never know, depending on how it turns out I may make one in white for myself.

Will post a pic ... even a of a pile of hair if I end up pulling mine out trying this. LOL

It would take quite a while but certainly should be "doable"

Thanks for the input. I have 3 machines and I guess I will be sewing on one while the other embroiders. Should prove interesting for me since I have never done that before.

It is beautiful! I have seen mobiles which have been done in FSL. I don't know how they "balance." But, someone has to be first to try this with FSL. Why not it be you?

Oh the way you worded this...but if it turns out it will be something else for others to try. Thanks for the input.

I don't see why it wouldn't work, fsl would be heavier than paper,Try a mini version and if it works go large.
