I would never survive working more than 8 hours... What you need is dark and quiet. Make sure your sleeping area is as dark and quiet as possible. Turn any LED clocks away from the way you face and try turning on a fan to muffle outside noise or use another white noise device. (I placed a very dark sheet behind my one curtain panel of my very wide window this past spring to help darken the bedroom so not to be awakened at the crack of dawn. It really helped! Wish the birds would cooperate.
