She needs to find someone who has gone through this to help her in her decision unless her doctor is very forthcoming in explaining everything. Maybe if she can go see a nephrologist her choice might be clearer. In the meantime, we will keep petitioning on her behalf.

173584Prayers being said for your sister. My husband juast got his all clear a few weeks ago from his Chemo doc. We have spent the last year in Radiation, Surgery then Chemo for Rectal Cancer. God Bless each of you .

305Prayers for a good choice and result. This is so tough, and I liked the advice below about seeing a nephrologist for help in choosing. Also, should family members be getting checked for a possible kidney donation match NOW? My friend Margaret received a kidney from her niece after only a short few weeks on dialysis (when she wasn't real sick yet) and lived ten more years with the kidney, died of something else!! She said the key was taking the anti-rejection exactly on schedule and staying ON the kidney diet. Praying for the best.

63110Loralye, you dear sister is in my prayers. What a horrible choice they have given her. If she chooses dialysis, would she be eligible for a kidney transplant. Just know she'll make the decision that is the correct one for her. Prayers for her and your entire family.

I'm on the kidney transplant list and recommend she see a nephrologist to help her decide. The choices she has really put her between a rock and a hard place. I will continue praying for her. --Sandra
