Hi Cuties-I bought that machine, I was asking you about.I got the machine with 2 hoops, a 4x4 and a 5x7. She also gave me a Brother PED Basic card writer, with a re-writable card. My husband went with me and we met the nicest people. She is in her 70's and he is almost 80. She had one emb Cd, from Martha Pullen, a lady from her church was getting. They used a cross off that CD for christening bibs, that is all she used it for. She had all her paperwork, when she bought it and had it serviced once a year. She said she didn't sevice it last year because she hardly used it from the last service. She said she was still doing church work but not emb anymore. She didn't know you could move the design over in the layout if you didn't have it quiet centered ! IF this machine isn't good it is not because she did anything to it. The men visited in the living room, at first, while we were in the sewing room. As we talked she told me she made muslin dolls for her daughter to take to India on a mission. I told her my daughter had gone to India on a mission too and showed her a photo I had on my phone.I didn't want her to think I just said that. We had so much in common. Her husband and herself built their house, I told her we did too and showed her a photo of our house. The man was so interesting, too.He is/was a pilot in the Air Force, then flew a crop duster and worked at an aviation plant. He also is an author, and had 3 books pulblished, westerns. I really enjoyed meeting them and they said they would come visit us, we are about 1 and 1/2 hours away. I do hope they visit. I had trouble with the tension being too tight on the machine.I adjusted, but have only made 1 thing, look in Projects and give me your advice. I prayed about it before we went and asked God to open the door, if it was meant for me to buy ,and of course, as always, He has done more than I ask. I now have new friends.Thank you for any advice you have given and continue to help me with. -Toogie

Congratulations on your new machine and your new friends. I'm sure you'll be using it a lot. I was over at Ann the Gran and saw a bunch of questions relating to the PE700 and thought immediately of you. Hope you can find something that will help you there.

A heart warming story, Toogie. Just be careful that your machine is not a little bit stiff from Not Sewing. Had mine fixed recently and Technician said that I should be able to move the bar-thing that the hoop clips onto, on the Embroidery Unit, with my hand. Mine too was second hand, and had hardly been used.
