I say go for it. I love my Brother machines. I have the 770 and the 2700. I will upgrade to another Brother someday with a larger hoop.
I LOVE my 750D Brother! It is a real workhorse. It connects to my pc (also card slot) and I love the ease of editing and seeing a larger design before I send it to the machine. Hope you have great luck if you decide to buy it, Linda
I have purchased MANY machines over the last 50 years---the 780D is the model I like SOMETIMES------it has the Disney designs built in---I SELDOM use them---be careful of COPYRIGHT for Disney----the Disney cards that you can buy can ONLY be used on Brother machines with a D---WHATEVER you do----NEVER NEVER NEVER leave it stitching and go out of the room or have a cup of coffee with HUNNY----because I did, came back, the needle was jammed down in the hoop, I got it loose, MANY $$$$ later--it STILL does NOT work as well as it did BEFORE--NOW I sit and watch as it stitches==if I need to do something-I stop it until I can come back and sit more----I do like the 5x7----but I still use MAINLY 4x4---like someone else said-I stick to the same brand because many of the parts are interchangeable and the technology and operations are basically the same on all models---
ENJOY and let us know how it works!!!!!!
I do not know too much about that model but I have not heard negative comments about it, I have a Brother 6500 and I love it. I have seen it in around 600 to 750 brand new in Amazon so make sure you are getting a very good deal.
I have a girlfriend who has one and loves it. Can't really tell you pros or cons, but my suggestion would be to upgrade with the same brand as you already have (unless you are unhappy with it) because then everything, like feet, is interchangeable. I have all HusqvarnaVikings because I love them and also the above reason. Hugs. Nan
I ALSO stick with the same brand because of the interchangeable parts and similar operations and technologies----some people like one brand and others like others:):):)
The 780D was my first machine - not sure the differences to the 750D. The 780D is embroidery only at 5*7. I have this now as my backup machine - still works good (when I get it out) - and I loved embroidery so much I upgrade to a Quattro.
Forgot to add - it has a USB port for a memory stick and it can connect to the computer and it can read design cards. Not sure about the 750D.
I bought the brother 750E a year ago and never looked back. I have the brother se400 and it's just sat here doing nothing. once you upgrade to a 5x7 theirs no going back to a 4x4. the brother PE750D does have some new designs but you can get most of them free on websites. so is it worth buying that model. ????? hugs x
I had a SE270D with the thread cassette---it worked OK for a year or two then the casssette started messing up--got a new cassette---same thing---I now use it for spare parts---cost more to fix (one repairman tried for a week to fix it and sent it home--nonfixable and he didn't charge me)--I started with a PE150--it still works BEAUTIFULLY--also bought SE400 for travel-also stitches beautifully-and have a 780D I use mostly----I like Brother machines--reasonably priced and same basic technology on all!!!!
great for the home hobbyist--HappyStitching:):):)
