31.7.13 Did this ever happen to somebody else? I stitched through the bobbin-case plastic cover. Have stitched and heard a not so nice sound but the machine did not stop. Although I rushed there and stopped it. When I took the hoop out of the machine there was something hard between the stabilizer and the fabric. You cannot imagine my surprise when I tear off the stabilizer and the plastic plate was stitch at the bottom of the embroidery. Have cut away the bobbin threads and it has now 3 holes but fits still on his place. Love my brother-machine :o)

Greetings, Bettina

I think you have been extremely lucky not to have done more damage. Sarah.

Yes and I've learned never to think: Such a thing doesn't exist. There is always a first time ;o)

Something close happened to me. Heard a scary sound, stopped the machine. The needle had broken and was stuck in the bobbin. Tricky to remove the hoop, since I could not lift it high enough to remove. I had to release the foot and use pliers to remove the needle. Machine was fine after that.
