Thank you Chris for being so gracious. As you know I am British and was delighted with the result. Just wish our Proteas here in South Africa were playing better. Hugs Sarah.
Both of you have proven to be very gracious cricket enthusiasts
I know that this is not going to sound ar all patriotic on my part but in this instance, the better team did not win. I applaud the spirit that the Aussie lads put into this first test and having studied the 'hot spot,' 'snicko' and full audio, I am not convinced that the third umpire made the correct decision overturning the field umpires decision!! There will always be chanagins in these Ashes matches but I was appalled at the failure on the part of Broad to 'walk' when he clearly caught a thick edge and was caught behind. As you say Chris, there remains four more Tests which I hope will be as exciting as this one but played and umpired in a whole lot more professional manner by certain individuals.
I agree with you Dennis, I don't think that last ball was out either. I didn't see that part when Broad was supposed to get out - I think I was in the lounge-room watching a thriller movie! Love Chris
