Ditto to all!! Thank you Dennis for lifting our spirits - you rock!! Thank you Sarah for your prompt.
And to think I almost ran him off when he first found cute, I made a reference to his daily jokes. Whoops! But Dennis and I called a truce,he decided to stay and benefit all with his sense of humor. Thank you Dennis for overlooking my faults. And in the future I will think before I open my big mouth.
Bev
Oh Bev, you had every right to raise your concerns at that time as other Cuties had also done. I had simply slipped into what I had thought was accepted practice, not realising the history of the issue. I deserved the comment at the time and have to thank both yourself for accepting my apology and dear Meganne and SueDewsbury for persuading me to stay. Thank you Bev for your understanding.
Anytime a post makes me chuckle I look and it is Dennis that posted it 99% of the time.
Thank you Dennis and to "the one that must be obeyed" tell her thank you for letting you spend the time on the computer with us.
Love you sense of humor.
Thank you for your kind words. I have passed on your thanks to SWMBO. She has now recovered from the Muesli incident!
I have just finished reading all the posts below - after having a bit of a down day they certainly have lifted my spirits - thanks all!!
.........
Is anybody going to digitize a Dennis mascot, so we can all have one on our sewing machines? lol
Thank you Karenjay. So sorry that the start of your day has not been so good but it just goes to prove what a little bit of time on Cute can do for the spirit. That's what I find. As for the idea of a mascot, that did make me chuckle..lol
oh yes, with Dennis,we have a new pleasant mascot here at cute:) He sure gives a smile to all of us.
The smiles you give us Dennis changed the Cute world in a positive way, and please stay the way you are. You know I always post quotes so this one is for you:
Dennis, I share your posts sometimes with my hubby, who also has a quirky sense of humor I love to enjoy. You bring a nice touch to our family here at Cute. I've tried to use you and your interest to get him hooked on my hobby, but to no avail. He's convinced it's a female thing which I tease him about, being that he's a registered nurse he should be above that distinction. LOL
Phew.............I thought for a minute you were going to tell me that your hubby was after me! Still, I suppose being a registered nurse, he could always fix me up once he's finished dismembering me.....lol. Although I've always had to do some sowing and sock darning in my working lifetime as a firefighter, I didn't get into machine sewing and embroidery until about three to four years ago. It is fair to say that until that time, I would have never dreamed of doing this sort of thing as a hobby or otherwise. I have more male-oriented hobbies also but I do find machine embroidery creatively satisfying in (at times) a stress-inducing way...lol. If he is still working, then I do understand that he has a stressful vocation already but creating something in machine embroidery is also relaxing. I wish you luck with your continued encouragement........lol. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Oh my, You are the first person that I know, that also has darned socks. People always look at me with a big question mark on their face like "why". I had to mend my whole families socks as a youngster. Today I have to force myself to sew on a button. I much rather sew something new.
Oops I didn't mean to infer he was after you. I forget it's hard to read intent. Hubby is a great guy and best nurse there is. It just strikes me as funny that he holds things as male or female with all the teasing he gets for being a male nurse. When he's saving lives no one cares what gender he is. Do what you love andb brings you joy
Love a good sense of humor (even a quirky one)! Thank you for brightening our days and making us all smile. Hugs, Barba
Thank you Barba for your kind words. Perhaps I should ease up on the 'quirky' though, as I genuinely would not wish to cause any upset or offence.
Do not change who you are for anyone. We love your genuine quirky sense of humor and no one should be offended or upset! Please stay you and keep us smiling!
there is absolutely no chance you would offend any of us Dennis. As you can see you have quite a fan club!!
Yes, it is a delight to have Dennis around. A while back we had a couple of other gentlemen but I haven't seen them around anymore.
I agree, Dennis you have been a brave man to step into the Cuties' world. And I am glad you did. BTW, I have not washed my thumb drive again.
Thank you and I have to say that I am honoured and delighted to be here. It makes my day and, often, the early hours of the morning. Now, regarding that thumb drive........ I bet that you've got it chained to your machine desk, haven't you.......lol
Anyone got the addy of his Fan Club site? i'd LURVE to join it - LOL
Joking aside- i agree with all your comments
Dennis I have to tell you that I work with Dennis the menace and I know its not you... PS hope your wife has recovered from her muesli attack
She's still looking a bit pink but that could be the weather. Surely there can't be another like me! lol
I daresay, he must have been a very precocious youngster. He's carried that into his adulthood!
A carefully chosen word that (youngster)..............did you mean 'brat.' lol. I'll have you know I was a pure as the driven snow......................................but I was also told never to tell fibs!!
Oh, Sarah, now I know what it is like to experience hot flushes.......lol. Your kindness really is just too much, although greatly appreciated I do assure you. In truth, I have been blessed by the company of all of you lovely ladies and I thank you for your help, kindness and friendship. I did pass on your kind thoughts to Ann who, unfortunately at the time, was eating her breakfast. After recovering from almost choking on her Muesli (did I spell that correctly? - it's the stuff that reminds me of cat litter) she asked me to say that "anything to get me from under her feet was a major bonus!"...........................charming!
Once again Sarah, thank you so much.
It is a pleasure Dennis. I hope Anne has recovered from the near choking fit with the muesli!!!! Sarah.
Yes Dennis has made a great (positive) impact here. I have had many a giggle at his great comments. Diolch/thanks Dennis
Thank you Caroline. I did have a chuckle at the use of the (bracketed) word which does help to qualify what you were saying.
I too enjoy Dennis' quirky sense of humour and love the Aussie/English rivalry between Dennis & Chris. Mind you - I would rather watch grass grow than cricket. And I agree with Jerri, we can all use a laugh now and then. Lyn. xx
Now come on Lyn don't tell me you follow the Canberra Raiders. All jokes aside, most people would agree with you. I've been brought up on Cricket coming from South Australia (and of course Aussie Rules football) and just love the Adelaide Cricket Ground. Love Chris
Lynn I went to an all girls school and we played cricket. I remember times standing fielding on the boundary and it was possible to see the grass grow. As I got older and wanted more action I became a bowler and wicket keeper then I was too busy to watch the grass grow
Lyn..............................you have just committed sacrilege by talking about cricket in that way....lol. I do appreciate your comments although I promise not to take the rivalry with Chris too far, as I know the Aussies haven't won too much recently.
Hi Sarah,
Yes, he's a really lovely guy and I know Ann is one lovely lucky lady. I love his sense of humour too and of course our little ongoing repartee with our Aussie/English rivalry! He knows I love him though!
Love and blessings Chri
I have just rushed downstairs to pass on your comments to Ann who, unfortunately, had still not finished her Muesli.......
Thank you, Mrs. P. for your friendship and I promise not to mention the British and Irish Lions Tour...................You beauty, you (spoken in my finest Aussie accent).
I agree Sarah: I miss the little chuckles we used to get. I know its an embroidery/craft site, but we all could use a laugh now and then and Dennis helps put a smile on our faces. I know his posts light up my days with laughter.
Hugs Jerri
