Found Treasures! After clearing out my mom's storage units we found unfinished knitted booties. She doesn't remember who she started them for. I'm going to pretend it was for her first grandchild (my 25 year old son). I think I'll put them together and save them for my first grandchild : )

I think all that's left is connecting the pieces. I'll try to find a similar pattern to use as a guide.
Crafter2243 any ideas?

First sew the seam at the back from top down to heel. I believe the 2 extra pieces are the sole. Fold them into half just the way you laid them out and sew them to the bottom of the booties. Any questions you know how to reach me. A ribbon woven through the eyelet holes should finish them. And then .......................... don't forget them when you have a special one to give them too.

well there will be a grandchild some day who will become the proud ownner of great-grandmothers booties.

If you can find the pattern maybe you can enlarge it for your son, so he will know how they feel LOL

What's the oldest UFO you have found? I actually have a hand cross stitch baby sampler that I started for that same 25 year old son that I never finished. While still working on it several years later I got into machine embroidery. It's really hard to go back to hand embroidery after machine.

Thinks that I remember (there are probably others!) I have a Snoopy rug hook kit that is partially done - from 30+ years ago. Top that off with hand embroidery girl scout designs partially done from 35+ years ago. Bad. Bad. Bad. Maybe some day they will become a "FO" instead of a "UFO".

That's impressive!

Oh my. I really can identify. I have some started hand embroidery UFO and no desire to finish them. Sigh......

I purchased a sewing room and got someone else's UFO's what do you do with these projects. I do not have the room to store them.

I have a classic style viyella baby dress, cut out and smocked, panties to match, ready to sew up for my first baby who is now 55 years old.
As the years went on the new mothers only wanted onesies and all-in-one suits. Dressing baby girls up seems to be a thing of the past now.

Cfidl - Add parts of them into crazy quilt squares, then make mug rugs or whatever according to the size of the
square(s). Add into doll clothing? Depends on the size of your what-have-you's.
