So sad to hear that they took down your apple faces... I really liked these and was so excited to get back to emb this week so that I could make a kitchen town with these on it, and I couldn't find them anywhere. I finally asked if anyone knew where they were and was told that they had been removed. I'm so sorry you had done such good work and was willing to share with us cuties, and then something was wrong about it. Please keep up the good work and don't let it get to you to much. *4U.

Dolly, I'm sorry I did not see your post either. Please everyone if you want a question answered by the moderators, ask it in the Inbox where we WILL see it as soon as we come on line. The place that your designs were from stated that they were to be used for practice only and were not to be used commercially in any way, including as gifts. I thought that you knew and had read the licensing and especially since I saw the post that you made where you had searched for "use any way you want" clipart. My bad. I hope you will forgive us. hugs ;)

Dear Dolly, be whatever may, you did not default intentionally and you certainly gave a lot of pleasure to us all with your red and green apples.
I am sure that all of us are just waiting to receive designs from your next project. We all appreciated your inputs and as can be seen from the posts, are most appreciative of your kindness. No matter in what form the future designs appear, we are waiting .... God bless. Patricia

Many Thanks to all, Mops, I think I saw one reason for the removal of the apples, 'one picture of the finished stitchout must be posted' and I didn't do that. Oh well all, I tried!

Sorry, I hardly ever look in Chat so I did not see this earlier.

There have been a number of complaints in PMs to miss Veronika and the moderators about breach of copyright. Miss V removed those designs (and as far as I can see yours were not the only ones).

I agree with Dennis in that when posts are removed the author should be notified as to the reason why. Informative feedback is one way of learning. However, ignorance of the law or failure to read and follow the stated Terms and Conditions seldom can be used as a defense.

A supportive shout-out to the moderators who have a tough role in protecting this site.

I think there was a problem with the artwork being for personal use only. This is really a minefield, I'm afraid.

I do hope that this thread does not deteriorate in the same manner that resulted in the lovely Meganne leaving this site. I cannot recall now how many 'apple designs' that Dolly had posted for the benefit of Cuties but it is a poor show that this arbitory action should be taken after all this time and, more importantly, without the courtesy of a Private Message to Dolly explaining the reason. I appreciate that there may be legal issues involved here but it is self-evident that none of the regular contributors to the site knows the what those reasons are. How are members supposed to understand the intricacy of these legal matters if no explanation is provided. I would not expect any member here to be vilified for a wrong-doing in open-forum but at least let's do the decent thing and use the Private Message system.

I believe the designs were removed because the artwork was downloaded from all-free-download.com. Mops explains their license in the link. I dont believe Dolly broke the rules on purpose, I adore her designs and have used her lace letters on many occasions.
