OK , it almost three in the morning and my bones are too achy to let me rest and its one of those nights where the mind will not close down.

So with an idea whizzing around my mind i have decided to drop by and leave you a tip on how to save a bit of money and make a secure purse fastening
You know those fridge magnets you can buy in packs to glue onto things, Well they can be used to close purses and such almost invisibly with no gluing or metal bits.
HOW.
you will need a laminating pouch and a silicon sheet and a warm iron.
LOL i can hear the cogs moving already.
cut the pouch into three inch squares and then sandwich one magnet between two square centrally.
place the silicon sheet over the laminating film and using the iron fuse the two sections together so that the magnet is trapped inside it.
continue trapping and fusing the remaining magnets.
Just gently round the corners of the laminating film so that there are no sharp bits,
These can now be sewn into position on those purses.
position two of the magnets and have them positive to positive so that they attract and hold together
they can be sewn in place under the fabric and no need for metal parts, the laminated film is sewn through and is fully washable
Great idea for small toys that can go onto a fridge too

Thank you, it seems to me very interesting, but I do not understand the words: "laminating pouch".
Poor eggyannie, I hope that you can sleep this night. *****

laminating pouches are a type of plastic that fuses to itself when gently heated or placed in a laminating machine.
menues and business cards can be laminated to keep them clean, fabric is also often used in this way and then cut for card making

This is great. I saw a purse at a yard sale that didn't have a closure and decided not to buy it because of that. This would have been an easy solution. I will keep this idea for future reference. Thank you for sharing your creative mind with all of us cuties. You're a sweetie...

I do so wish i could but it would wake hubby up so i just have to lie here.
I must have been an owl in a past life because i have always slept better during the day time than i do at night.
I used to love the night shift when on 999 work,
