The story behind

Tension problem pic 1. This could not be right, but I have a new machine and we have to get friends slowly. So what is the difference to my old machine? Can not be the design, must be the tension, or the stabilizer, open manual study. No results. Tested sewing function – sews perfect, no issues. Ask cute!

Thanks to cutes (http://www.cuteembroidery.com/926...) some very good tipps and the test design (thanks to kijala DBC http://www.cuteembroidery.com/891...) I could play throu all the tension issues step by step, stitching one piece of the test design, altering the settings do the next one and so on.

On the way I started threading the machine like the first time ever, going step by step with manual in hand. Belive me I know how to thread a maschine, sewing for centuries lol!
And I cleaned the bobbin area of new maschine (only 5 small desins stiched) and I saw a little notch I had not seen before, added that very little notch in the bobbin case to the threading process and did the next test.

I do not now which of the setting did the trick but I will thread all my maschines old or new with a little more love to detail next time I nag about tension and keep that test design loaded to my machine.

Last pic is the result after maintenace on nettle with iron on cotton stabilizer. The next challenge is to get that design on a T-shirt proberly and I need to get hold of some mesh stabilizer as recommended first for best results. Thank you cute community you are great.

I am so glad that you and your new machine are playing nice. I admit that when I get a new machine I pull out the manual and read and look at the pictures.

Good that you found a solution. It can be so frustrating knowing that it is not okay, but not finding out the reason. And when there is nobody around younto help.. Lucky some cuties gave some tips. And now.... Sewing !

the last picture looks good. When I embroider on a T-shirt I always use sticky ( adhesive)tear away stabilizer in the hoop. and just push the shirt on the adhesive layer, so it cannot stretch or move away. That's for me the way I like best. Hope it works for you now !

glad it has finally worked it's self out.. there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to find or solve a problem..Have you tried to use tulle as part of the stabilizer.. I use 2 layers tulle 1 layer wss.. find that worked for my sons polo shirts.. good luck.. Marian
