Very nice. I have several round ones that I bought from a friend who sold them at RV craft shows. One day I asked her to make me a big round one to do tortilla's. It works great and it works for rolls too. I just turn the power down on the microwave for rolls.

If you google "baked potato bag tutorial" you will find several sites with instructions on how to make these handy bags but I didn't see any that had a round one so yours is unique. When I made them I also found free embroidery designs, one says tater baker with an applique and another is an embroidered design.

Very nice, but always warn folks to use 100% cotton. I made some bowl wraps, also for the microwave - also need to be 100% cotton as they can catch fire or melt (polyester). Be so careful finding your batting. I bought some warm and natural "cotton" batting only to find (after I had cut the squares and read the small print) that it was part polyester. Back to the store to try again. I'm sure I'll find a use for squares of warm and natural, but what a disappointment to have to make another trip.

Love it I made several square bags and one I whoopes with wrong thread I had slight fire start in my microwave. So I know cotton all the way for me. I am so glad the one I did use a mixed thread on I tested before giving away. Glad the fire was not bad too. These are like mentioned great for breads, rolls, taco shells and potatoes. Hubby still says best potato to him is done over coals of fire.

Your bag is very pretty and the perfect color too!
Make sure you wash it often -- especially if you did not use 100% cotton everyplace. They are amazing as so convenient! Good job!

This is great, Did not think of doing a round one. I use mine all the time, even for reheating buns, it keeps them soft, Also if a scone is gone hard just pop it in a paper towel and pop it in to the bag and heat for a couple of second, it brings it back to life again.

Be careful with the batting, you should use only the special batting made for potato bags. Also reminding anyone that you give it to that they must clear the sides of the microwave if stationery or if the table turns. Fire fighter dislike these as misuse cases kitchen fires.

These are cute! I saw that others told you about using all cotton fabric,
batting and thread. Otherwise they are a fire hazard.

Went I to Cape Cod Mass this past Fall we had a Lobster
Bake dinner along with several other tour groups. We were
served baked potatoes in foil . I was cutting mine down the
center when one of our group grabbed it up and said-let
me show you. She gave it a mighty wack on the table. Now I wouldn't do that on my dining room table-on the kitchen counter yes and they are great. try. old/Maureen

I am also making some of the potato bags...some large some small. My bags are not round though. I have made these for years and some of my friends from Canada ask me to make them for when they come back in October. These bags have to be done all in cotton. Top, lining batting and thread. You can make so man things in these...Corn on the cob can also be made in these and frozen biscuits, even tortillas. I will post some of my pictures soon.

did you make sure to use only 100% cotton fabric and thread> Don't want you to burn more than just the potatoes
